"At the 2002 Dutch GP, I had a two-stroke bike, and I already had the four-stroke bike at the time. It was one of the best races I've ever had in my life. I could even visualize in my head the way the tires were working on some high-speed corners. It seems like the fusion with the bike is so big but so big it's unbelievable. And I took everything off the bike 100%, I missed nothing. The race was fantastic. Valentino Rossi called me in the corner and said I had never seen anyone ride a two-stroke motorcycle like me that day. "What you did was amazing. I learned a lot from you today. And I just won because I really have a motorcycle that it's much better, 'he said. " *** Alex Barros, interview - warmup magazine, 2013" ***

Reminds me of Rossi vs Stoner in 07 when the bikes went to 990cc for the first time and the Ducati was just so much faster but Rossi could still challenge on the technical circuits like Assen despite the Yamaha that year being way behind the curve.
