I don't know but this race proved 3 things at the very least : 1. Still the most heartbreaking finish line results 2. A big credit to Marc (and Dovi) as you can see at the Live Champ standings there were no their names what so ever, but right before Valencia we knew what happened 3. Yamaha's inconsistency. You could argue it was happened right after Assen but things started to get sour for the next 3 and half seasons for them right after MVKs victory

Yes vinhales was behind before that mistake but gained time after that mistake so vinhales should have been penalized but before that last lap started to it was too late...if it would have been happened now they would have penalized him....

Salah seorang pelumba motogp paling lejen @the doctor yang paling aku minati telah tumbang di saat-saat akhir laps pusingan.. saya sendiri terkejut bagaimana dia mengendalikan jentera besar yang berkuasa besar dia itu boleh tumbang dan jatuh secara tiba-tiba. Ini sangat sukar dipercayai saya amat kecewa dan hampa dengan prestasi dan potensi yang ditunjukkan oleh rossi di saat2 akhir laps perlumbaan motogp.. saya tidak menduga dan tidak menjangka apa yang akan berlaku di saat2 akhir perlumbaan nanti saya fikir rossi mampu untuk terus bertahan mara di hadapan di tempat pertama dari pelumba2 lain di belakangnya ternyata jangkaan dan sangkaan saya meleset 100% sama sekali.. saya amat sukar untuk menerima kenyataan yang rossi bolej tumbang dan terjatuh jentera gemuknya itu saya fikir dia mampu untuk mengendalikan jentera yamaha movistar nya itu untuk menuju ke podium ternyata tidak juga

Viñales en ese año venía golpeando fuerte debutó con 2 victorias seguidas pero tengo entendido que en ese momento en Yamaha cambiaron las cosas por petición de Rossi para su beneficio y perjudicaron a Viñales, al final les salió el tiro por la culata puesto que el título se lo llevó el binomio marquez- honda, de haber seguido Yamaha con el instructivo de Viñales se hubieran ganado el campeonato

Rossi should have won this race. He only crashed because Maverick passed him on the last lap, and Maverick was only able to do that because of the illegal advantage he gained by cutting the "S" curve on the penultimate lap. If there had been grass or gravel instead of asphalt for the runoff, then Maverick would have either crashed or lost several seconds by running off the track. Instead, he slotted in right behind Valentino and only lost 0.009 seconds on that lap. Super unfair for Vale.

@@petesmitt Not a different matter, really. One thing affects the other. If Marverick had lost time in that corner, he wouldn't have overtaken him on the last lap. This means that Rossi wouldn't crash, trying to catch Maverick. But still, what a race for both Maverick and Vale. ^^ Fun fact: when Rossi cut a corner, being pushed wide by Zarco in 2017 Austin race, he gained a time penalty.

@@petesmitt You still do not get it. The point is that when something happens, it affects the future. When Vinales overtook Rossi, then Rossi had to push to try to overtake him back. IF Vinales had not cut the corner and lost time instead, Rossi wouldn´t have had to push in the last lap = he wouldn´t have crashed. That´s the point of all of it. :-)) But at the end of the day, it is what it is. No matter the ending, it was an entertaining race!
