Dang that suzuki sounded mad at having to wake up after winter. :) Suzuki is sounding the best. Yamaha second, Ducati 3rd, then Honda. That's just my preference though, and that's at idle/low rpm. At full speed... hard to beat that Honda scream.

I think it's interesting how each manufacturer's engine sounds unique. Wish I could find what their cylinder configurations are. I know Ducati is a V4.

Most of them are 90 degree V4's, Suzuki and Yamaha are i4 with 90 degree v4 firing order basically.

By power I mean speed on the straights. Ducati & Honda pass Yamaha so easily on long straights in 2015. 2016 too. Especially Ducati.

What else could it be? Why would most pick V4? Has to be an advantage. I was wishing Yamaha would develop a V4 after the 2015 debacle. Seemed like Rossi power was turned down compared to Lorenzo, & the Ducati passed Rossi like he was in neutral.

I'm confused- when warming up/testing the bike they show them going up through the gears using GP (aka reverse) shift pattern. But then when the riders get on the bikes, they are kicking down into first gear. Do GP bikes have neutral at the top instead of between first and second gear?
