So emotional and yet inspiring to listen to Wayne talk about his accident. Absolute motorcycling legend.

Love this series its amazing to see all these great riders represent America and all be great world champions! And no lie listening to Wayne talk about his crash was heavy.

It’s quite incredible to see just how many similarities there where with the rivalry’s between Eddie Lawson, Wayne Gardner and then Wayne Rainey And Kevin Schwantz. Lawson And Rainey where very smooth consistent racers who would be fully prepared to take a 2nd or 3rd place to get to points to win the championship and then you had Gardner and Schwantz to hard racing wild racers who where very very exciting to watch but it was that win or bust nature for both men with probably cost both men at least another 2 or 3 world titles but never the less they where still absolutely fantastic racers The way that Rainey’s career ended was really tragic but at least he’s still living and breathing today to be able to tell us from his point of view what he had achieved in racing Big hats off to all these legends

Rainey and Schwantz were very cordial with each other, if they _truly_ hated each other. Competitive rivalry, sure, because they were after the same thing, but I don't see any true hatred.

Now you don't, but back in the day, all the way back to the AMA superbike days, there was indeed a great deal of hate between the two. There was also a huge amount of mutual respect between them. It's part of what made them so amazing to watch.

The high corrugated curbs at Misano track was criticized from Wayne Rainey before the race. The track was designed for cars and very dangerous for motorcycles. Sadly an accident had to happen before it was rebuilt.

Big respect to Rainey. To have such a rivalry but still be fair is truly a gentleman thing to do. No dirty tricks, just fair and honest, hard racing. *Some* (cough Spanish cough) riders these days could learn from that. Makes me wonder how many more Rainey could've won had he not crashed so badly in Misano...

Sad to see when Rainey steps onto his 500 for the last time at misano. As it's just another GP for him at the time
