I owned a 2017 Tuono Factory for about 28k miles and it is still my favorite bike I've owned. I just clicked with it. The engine has a ton of character and low down usability. So fun to row that bike through the gears. Great video dude.
@SongJLikesАй бұрын
“ I just clicked with it. “ You touched on one of the most subtle-yet-awesome dynamics of modern Aprilia’s; once you’ve gotten used to the bike for a handful of miles, the control becomes perfectly intuitive… it makes the riding seem almost telepathic at ~35mph+ They are very easy machines to ‘become one with’… (I think I rattled off every cliche in the riding-description-ejaculation handbook, including this remark 🤦♂️ but it’s all true 🤷♂️ ) Now, reliability? Different story. That’s a roll of the dice with each individual bike. Some machines are bulletproof, others enigmas. Or whatever the word ‘enigma’ is in Italian.
@R-Tap13 күн бұрын
Now that the bike is gone, how do you get your kicks?, crack? 😂 Anything Aprilia is 😍. I'm considering my 1st, a 2025 RS660 Factory.
@SongJLikes12 күн бұрын
@ - The rs660 is a remarkable choice, but 14k for one? I dunno… I’d say use that extra $2k+ for the Sc Project exhaust and tune… you can slowly embellish it as you wish over time

All their bikes look like their big bikes, amazing. Like the way an E Class looks like an S Class. I'm considering my 1st Aprilia, a 2025 RS660 Factory. It would only be my 2nd bike ever, and my 1st sport bike. I should have got a Tuono 660 as my 1st bike, I didn't, I have an itch......

My brother had the same bike (a few years older) with a similar exhaust. When I tried it I literally almost shat my pants. My own bike is a 150cc "naked", so I'm used to give a little throttle before releasing the clutch after shifting. If the RSV4 didn't have wheelie-protection, I would have crashed. CRAZY power and sound, but still incredibly stable and safe thanks to its advanced traction control. If I wanted a liter bike, I would totally buy this one
@Kimchi_qiАй бұрын
I agree with you on the super loud exhausts. Fun for 5 minutes then headache. I dislike being on track with loud RSV4s. Being behind them blows 🤪 but I’m sure they are fun bikes to ride.

Everyone likes the Tuono lol, tbh tho the RSV4 ergonomics aren't that bad I find them comfortable even for sport-street riding. The Tuono is in the more aggressive ergo naked bikes anyway unlike the MT series which is super upright. All of these bikes anyway are overkill for the street I ride the RS660 for canyon carving lol

Yes its a “slip on” but it gets rid of the cat and the muffler, so a full exhaust wouldn’t sound any “louder” per say but yeah I guess youd gain just a little hp and a little less weight if opting for full titanium

No to all, but they are the most enjoyable bikes you could ride despite of all that. For some reason they have always paled under the perceived image of Ducati as THE premium Italian brand, but Aprilias are insanely good, and much more interesting in mi opinion.
@dominator716Ай бұрын
No, not reliable at all.....parts take forever and finding an authorized dealer is next to impossible. I just sold my Tuono and the only thing I miss is the engine sound.

@@dominator716 yeah exactly. They are awesome bikes, but it's basically a nightmare to sort out issues in pretty much all cities in the world. Maybe living in Italy it would be better, I don't know. But overall there's a lot of things to be concerned about if something goes wrong.
@dominator716Ай бұрын
@@lucascarracedo7421 I really wanted to love it, I wanted to sooo bad...the bike sounds great, looks great......but their quality control is awful. Engine sounds good, but there are many issues with these bikes, they overheat, they are not speedy when it comes to getting parts, the gas gauge will almost certainly go (had 3 and the 3rd one still needs to be replaced,) the paint is horribly thin, not many dealerships to get authorized work done. Check out the BBB for more info before you purchase. I traded in my 21 tuono V4 factory because it was one thing after another.

Counterpoint... My Aprilia has been flawless. 🤷♂ Would buy another. Plan to actually.
@dominator716Ай бұрын
@@MotoJoshP You got lucky, last time I was in the shop, there were 5 people all waiting for the same thing (float switch or sending unit) . it's a crap shoot if you get a good one or not. Can do a quick google search for gas gauge issues and Aprilia. Not to mention that I heard that 1 of those 5 people had to wait another 3 months for the sending unit as they only had a few available to ship to the dealer.

I hear u on that they suck I would get an r1
@carlostonebanksАй бұрын
I've got the '22 Tuono V4 RR, and of course, you're right about the overheating and the gauge problem. I've got 18k km on mine and replaced the gauge sensor already, but I've heard that this may be due to the ethanol on North American gas (we have it here in Canada, too) causing part degradation. There may also be issues with the coolant Aprilia ships with to North America. The electronics are sophisticated, but the sensors can be temperamental, too. But when you're riding the bike, you don't care one bit. It's amazing.
@dominator716Ай бұрын
@@carlostonebanks Yes, its an incredible engine.....I really miss the sound and that animal feeling. I am glad that I don't have to stop at every gas station because I don't know exactly how much gas I have. The MPG ranges SO much. Also, if you haven't, try Engine Ice coolant. It gave me a few degrees difference, still had to turn bike off at the light during summer, though.
