As a bit of trivia, it is surprising the difference in comfort between a white (light coloured) mesh jacket and a black mesh jacket when riding in 38C temperatures in Queensland. Interesting variety that you covered. You do a good job on these videos.

For me it isnt suprising at all. Black cars get significantly more hot in the sun than white ones. Ships are coloured white so the a/c doesnt have to work as hard. Common knowledge honestly.

Klim Marrakesh is good for maybe 70-85degF. It does not flow as much air as needed in the hot SW USA. I bought it last year after your reviews. Then I decided on trying the Klim Induction jacket and pants as well. Much better about 80degF. In fact, I just returned today from 1800 miles trip from central Arizona up to SW Wyoming and back wearing the Induction gear. This morning at 9,000ft elevation campsite it was 58degF when I started. Had T-shirt, Klim Zephyr, Klim Induction and Scott’s rain jacket over it. As I dropped in elevation it started warming. By the time I arrived home it was 98degF and I was down to the T-Shirt and Induction jacket and it was tolerable.

I ended up going with a KNOX Urbane Pro MK3 instead of the Marrakesh. It's cheaper and seems to flow as much if not more air. I can also layer it under things instead of over things...so a sweatshirt goes over it perfectly. So far I've had it out in 95deg with a compression moisture wicking base layer and was as comfortable as I would expect to be without AC.

I’ve done a 1000km in a full GoreTex jacket under 34 degrees. As long as you’re riding it’s feasible. On my way back I had torrential rain and heavy winds, reason why I decides to wear this jacket instead of my simple Mesh. Good decision!

Even when the manufacturer provides a big range of sizes the retailers aren’t putting them in stock. So when a guy like me (209cm/140kg 6,9’/320lbs) comes along, there is almost nothing to try on and see if it fits.

Thank you for all your helpful reviews! I bought the Klim Marrakesh Jacket and Pants as my first riding gear and you are completely right with the comfort of it and the flexibilty with the layering approach. Im always happy to put it on and riding in it, as you dont even notice it after a few minutes. Please do keep in mind that you need at least some parts of the layers always with you to be prepared for a condition change, so you will at least need a somewhat big tankbag or something similar. The Scott layers dont pack that small, but i always have those and the zephyr with me to be prepared, as i dont want to ride cold or wet, so my tankbag is always 70% filled with only that already. Still, no regrets on my decision to buy it - comfy, flexible, good looking and easy to put on even with a normal office outfit under it (jeans, tshirt and sweater). Just one quick note about the video production: I do find it a bit strange to see camera angles where cap doesnt look into the camera, it feels like this could be improved easily. The different angles could then be used to show the gear from other perspectives or close ups. Still, im looking forward to every new video of you. Thanks again for the great content! ❤ Best regards from germany

I live in the southern US. In my area, in the summer it’s typical to reach temps between 39-42 deg during the afternoon, any recommendations for these temps?

Can anyone recommend a jacket for a really good price (around $200) I’m trying to find one for my son who just bought a crotch rocket. I know nothing about leather vs textile but I think he would prefer leather..Thank you ❤

That line discontinued. Replaced by Comfort Outlast which is same (without the orange lines)! www.motolegends.com/motorcycle-accessories/base-layers?Brand=Halvarssons&

Do you gents across the pond never wear the Klim Induction Pro? The sizing is huge but then thats room for layering.

That Rokker shirt interesting design. I need to source a rack/holder for my bike so I can carry an axe. But I suppose I’d not be able to ride through London, right?

Nice selection of jackets . . . for men. C'mon, Chris, how about a mention of women's jackets? Several of those styles you displayed have women's counterparts. You don't even have to do a separate video.
@Motolegends5 ай бұрын
Yes, good point. I will do so in the future. I suppose I wrote the script believing that women would not be watching a video about men’s jackets. I will do better. CP.

@@Motolegends My husband (also a rider) and I watch all your very entertaining videos. We've learned so much from them! I can now tutor riding friends on the nuances of armor, merino wool, single-layer jeans, laminated vs. drop-liner jackets, the differences among summer, summer-waterproof, and winter gloves, etc. I watch the men's new-item apparel videos on your youtube channel, then I go looking on your website for a women's analog. It's always a treat when Sara does a women's video. She's already sold me two jackets and several other items all the way across the Atlantic. Sometimes I have to wear men's items, either for sizing--my big feet only fit in the Daytona MStar, not the LadyStar--or for features--Klim Badlands Aero Pro gloves don't come in women's sizes. I can see that you folks are truly committed to bringing in quality women's gear. I just like to needle you a little. Keep up the wonderful videos--we'll be watching and buying!
