When jump starting a car: 1. put the positive on the positive connection on helping car first, then the car that doesnt start. 2. Put the Negative on the battery of the helping car. And then the negative on the CHASSI for the car that doesn't start or a good ground point that isn't over the battery or too near. If you put the negative directly on the battery of the car that doesnt start it can ignite gases from the dead battery thats venting. Just a tip. Having a battery blow up in your face is something you never wish to experience. :) It is not only for the sake of shorting out the battery as some suggested in the comment section. Or having "sparks" and people are being too afraid. It's for this exact reason when a battery is drained it starts to vent gases that's highly explosive that is when you don't want a spark near. And is the sole reason you should never connect directly to the battery, Because a battery can allways be easily replaced but you can't. Be safe out there.

@mike39633 жыл бұрын
Exactly. The cop pissed me off and I’m normally with cops. But this cop made no sense. There was a lack of attention on public transportation and if he was so worried about the kids he would have talked to the driver. The rider held onto it for too long but still. The cop acted like it didn’t matter when it absolutely does.

I mean I don’t think it’s productive to honk and be mad. But being mad isn’t even remotely as throwing a guy off his bike. Lane changing without checking his mirrors and using the blinkers, and the cop is mad at the biker? What the fuck?

If the cop was so worried about the kids on the bus then the bus driver should have been cited for improper driving and failure to yield because their safety was in danger at that very point. Everything else is just fluff. @1:50

Let’s not act like this was life or death here. Bus probably didn’t see him. Yes that’s the fault is on the bus but backed off after frank let him know he was there. If you have any sort of grace it should end right there. However motorcyclists will not let things go and will continue to harass someone. The cop was right. Move on Frank. You can be mad but don’t try to punk out a school bus driver with kids on it. That’s dumb.

Way more than half. It's embarrassing and dangerous to the sport. Even the old farts who are in the local vintage bike club seem to believe the public road is their own personal domain to do as they please. Please stop! No need to encourage motorcycle haters - they are a rabid foaming at the mouth bunch as-is. If riders are going to break laws and generally be offensive and stupid, at least be "man" (or woman) enough to know and admit who's at fault when the shit hits the fan.

I can't be the only one that gets frustrated with the way some of these riders take an innocent driving mistake personally and completely overreact. I understand that a minor incident can result in your death but riders needs to also understand that they are the ones that chose to ride the motorcycle. People aren't actively trying to harm you. We've all accidentally cut someone off or tried to merge or switch lanes and didn't see that a car is already there let alone a bike. That's why I personally let that shit roll of my shoulders. Honk my horn let them know they fucked up then move on. I'm 32 I've made mistakes while driving and I will certainly make more so no reason to get mad when someone else makes one. Now if they do something incredibly stupid. That's a different story.
@scottb81753 жыл бұрын
People who think like you do get me more than frustrated. Just because we ride, doesn't mean we don't have a right to live. Imagine if you could say that again after some lazy dumb-ass self entitled / self focused jerk-off puts you or one of your family in a wheel chair or a grave. All because they don't feel the need or responsibility to exercise due care and attention and take driving seriously enough. Or just plain stop habitually excusing shit wanton negligent and careless operation of a deadly piece of machinery as "just an innocent driving mistake". Also, seeing you are so generous with forgiveness and kindness (at least for non-motorcyclists), personally put up some replacement housing, funding, and compensate the kids left without their parent or the lives they would have because someone made an 'itsy-bitsy-oopsy little driving mistake'. Besides my obviously (in your mind) suicidal tendencies like riding a motorcycle, hiking and camping in the wilderness, and swimming in water that is too deep to touch the bottom, I also choose to walk across the street sometimes. Crazy, I know. Its a wonder I haven't died a hundred times already. Literally just begging to be run over each and every time. Does that excuse the car driver that runs over me because they don't stop at the red light - either deliberately because . Or because they "didn't see the red light"? Kind of hard to do when looking at the phone in their lap, or reaching for the vanity items just purchased at the mall on the passenger seat. Or after "only 1 or two drinks 3 hours ago".

@scottb81753 жыл бұрын
No, I didn't. And when I'm riding, I'm not a a part of any "group" you are attempting referral to. I'm also not condoning, justifying, defending, justifying, or even sympathizing with anyone on the road who chooses to break the law. The same goes for anyone so disinterested in the safe operation of a vehicle that they can't give the privilege of driving any more respect and focus than they would while doing laundry or watching TV. There are already too many F-tards that hate motorcyclists - ALL MOTORCYCLIST - ALL THE TIME - for no reason other than their unjustified illogical opinions. I can provide dozens of examples from my own experiences. And, using your own colloquial expression, that "group" doesn't need the OG comment to expand, bolster or justify - in their broken minds - their illegal, negligent, or violent actions out on the road.

Fact for Franky Ortiz and the likes : Each time your life is "saved" thanks to your horn, it actually means you were just not riding correctly. When threatened by other people's behavior (be it good or bad, intentional or not), opt for the evasive/defensive maneuver ! People make mistakes, deal with it : make first sure you stay alive so that you have a chance to teach them afterward. Guess what : Being right on the road doesn't imply immortality.
