You should put some heat reflecting tape in the carbon peaces that are closer to the exhaust system because carbon can change color to yellowish if exposed to heat for long periods of time. Other than that it is looking awesome 👍

I am sure you have a kick-ass paint scheme planned, but as a fan of blacked out bikes I think the Ilmberger unpainted carbon is a vast improvement on the OEM M-Sport paint scheme, and if it were my machine I would probably be leaving the Ilmberger bits unpainted. I had the fairings off my s1000r yesterday (chasing down a persistent but intermittent rattle) and understand how you have to think through removing and replacing panels, as I too have snapped off one of those plastic tab/clips - mine on the RH nose panel the indicator is mounted to). Looking forward to Part 3.

Im looking into converting a yz450f theres a listing on fb the guys asking 3500 comes with dirt and super mo wheels and tires id have to do the rest, if you had to guess how much more money total for the 100% necessities? IK this isnt a video about your super moto but I figured it had a better chance to get a reply from someone, thanks for any info!

Hi. I'm sort of doing the same project and am confused about the bellypan (long vs short version). With stock headers and catalytic converter, which bellypan is correct? I bought the long version, still not arrived, and am not sure whether I purchased the wrong one after watching your video...
@kingjohas4 жыл бұрын
@FrankPetrarch If you ordered the same bellypan as Motonosity here, you’ve got the right one. I have got the same one installed on my S1000RR with the stock headers and cat and it fits perfect. The extra holes on the side free the cat. Sorry to say but I think Motonosity ordered the wrong bellypan. Ilmberger also is selling a bellypan for a full exhaust system. This one is without the extra holes in the side of the bellypan. I can send you some pictures how the bellypan looks on my bike with the stock headers and cat.
@FrankPetrarch4 жыл бұрын
kingjohas thanks very much for the info. Yes the full vs racing threw me off a bit. I ordered the long version so glad to hear it’s the right one. In the photo on the ilmberger site the cat is visible through the holes so assumed this was the correct one. Pics would be great if you can share. Cheers

Motonosity. Your probably right. My mistake. If you watch jaret campisi he just received new carbon fiber rims for his s1000rr. He has baby blue trim on them. He was trying to reduce some weight. He saved I think 3/4 a pound? $3600 for that little bit. Maybe I’m not rich enough to understand why it makes a difference. Good show motonosity.
