That sounds so nice! I remember riding these buses in New York Metro area. Great coaches.

God I wish I was on that bus listening to that engine. I miss those Detroit Diesels so much. Sounds like I have to head up to Canada if I want to hear those engines again.

This is what a REAL bus is suppose to sound like; the 8v71 and 8v92. I rode on MANY Greyhound dash 9's with both the 6v92 and 8v71 before getting my first car and loved the 8v71 version dash 9's more. The engine was phased out mainly for poor mpg and pollution. The 6v92 became standard back in mid 1980 for MCI buses, mainly with automatic transmissions.

Yes! I actually was trying to catch the reflection in the windows. Glad you liked that.

I miss the sound of the 8v71 very much. Un my town, we had 8v71 fishbowls and GMC rts buses up until 2002.

Sweet sounding bus. Too bad there isn't as many MC9's still around in charter work today...

Man would take an MC-9 over any motorcoach built today no matter how cool they look.I miss riding the old MCI's with the 8V71N and 6V92TA engines and of course that famous smell of burnt oil Uhhh i miss those days.
