@@pravinselkar7439 Agar BFP ka suction me pressure below vapour pressure hoga to steam bubble form hoga koi bhi pump steam water ke mixture ko compress nahi kar sakta is case me steam bubble impeller ke pass akar burst hoga jis karan impeller me cavitation hoga isi ko prevent karne ke liye booster pump dekar BFP suction par pressure increase karate hai. Agar samajh me aaya ho to please comment karke batana.

Sir, why the pump speed is higher than motor speed ? By using hydraulic coupling, the output speed must lower than motor speed, isn't ?

Actually Motor input power must be higher than pump output, but RPM can be increased by hydraulic coupling, no issue. Suppose Motor input power 12 MWH so pump mechanical output cannot exceed 12 MWH.

It can be made open but block valve of both attemperator must be closed.

The only purpose of balancing line is to prevent the shifting of Rotor of the pump during operation.

Mechanical seal water goes to mechanical seal cooler instead of directly to mechanical seal. Jacket cooling provided at pump jacket.
