How do you know the orientation of the pins? Is there a possibility of installing the chip wrong? That will also help on deciding to bend left or right.

Pin 1 is marked on the PCB, and it is the leftmost pin looking at the marking side of the package, with the pins down. Does that help?

How do you know you need to replace these? I suspect these could be my issue. Do you have any plans to recreate the mainboard using modern FPGA technology? If so, I would love to help.

Troubleshooting the L2724 requires knowing something about op amps and being able to understand the schematics. Maybe a good idea for a video? We don't have plans, short-term, to build a replacement for the main CPU.

You could have used a solder sucker to pull the solder from each lead without cutting the leads.
