XpLiZiTcOnTeNt7 The only realism that really concerns me is G-force levels and structural support. I'm only interested in having them be believable as short POV films. I don't expect any of my coasters to be actually built within a thousand years. I just like putting my imagination out there for others to see. That having been said, imagine a personal glass face shield dome as part of each shoulder harness device and you would have protection from wind and sand.

One Track Mind I actually thought about the helmet thing right after I posted it. This is a sweet track all the way though.

One Track Mind Just to throw my two cents in there, but a major concern would just be the train vibrating itself apart at high speeds and the thing would eat wheels like no other. I've worked on Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point in Ohio, and at 90 plus miles per hour, the trains vibrate a lot when it reaches the top speed but it's only for a few seconds, but for a ride like this when it's traveling very high speeds for so long, the trains would need crazy engineering to stay in one piece! Also the wheels would definitely have to be a completely different material than the normal nylon wheels that every steel coaster uses. This is what is normally used. www.flickr.com/photos/andrewb94/5368681296/ Even on Millennium Force, every couple of days or less a wheel will fail and just bascially spools out into a web that will hang inbetween the cars, I wish I would have gotten some pictures of that. I'm just imagining a Nascar or Formula 1 type pit crew waiting at the station to quickly change the wheels, haha. I'm not nick picking by all means, I just love to imagine what it would take to make something that seems crazy impossible and make it possible. Love your coasters by the way!

Well that's just another reason why I'd rather make videos than actual rides. Less limits! Glad you enjoy the coasters! There are many more on the way and as of now I have barely scratched the surface on the realities I plan on defying. Stay subscribed for some serious mind blowing action in the near as well as distant future!

you know 163 MPH could be very doable realistically. as coaster safety evolves and rides get safer i would see 163 MPH being reached. right now formula rossa in ferrari world in abu dhabi in the UAE is currently the fastest coaster in the world at 149 MPH. in 5 maybe 6 years time we could see a coaster hitting 155 MPH or even 160 MPH. so 163 MPH is very attainable. this coaster COULD actually be done in real life when safety meets the standards it needs to and it was a very good coaster as well, 9.3/10 on a scale of 1-10. very smooth, very fast and all around safe.
@jordanb762410 жыл бұрын
Thank You! I started with inspiration from Formula Rossa at first and then let my imagination guide the rails.
@alecday377510 жыл бұрын
One Track Mind 2 things where i docked 7/10 of a point are the rings are a little too small and you are upside down for a hair too long on the immelman loop but still is a very possible coaster. i still see that 163 MPH is not out of the realm of possibility. just give coaster safety time to evolve some and you will see a coaster that can hit that speed in real life.
@jordanb762410 жыл бұрын
Alec Day The rings seem small due to the illusion of speed, they are no more tight than the tunnels that are made for the program because that's what they're made from. It's the same head chopper effect that's found on many existing roller coasters today. I just chose to implement this effect in a way it hadn't been used before. The loop speed was completely intentional and is there so that you have time to capture the vast spectacle of the upside down world. It maintains enough momentum that the hangtime never reaches past -0.7 G's. This puts it roughly on par with the first inversion of SFMM's Full Throttle. You are of course entitled to your opinion, but as am I to my rebuttal.
@alecday377510 жыл бұрын
One Track Mind actually i was wrong the rings are an optical illusion. i now agree that the rings are teh same size as the tunnels. but you were upside down on the dive loop for a seemingly long 2-3 seconds as well. and at 4m12.64s you will have the longest actual ride time for a steel coaster if this was actually built in real life and that is something i could actually see happen but i think the bill would be astronomically expensive though cause this thing would probably set you back $35-45 million US dollars. so i think the price tag would be the big stumbling block for the coaster.

I'd love to see all your coasters combined into a park! Not sure how straightforward it would be with the software but it'd be the greatest park ever! Just make sure it's compact and the rides are all crowded together for realistic effect, and make the terrain hilly/rocky/wooded and next to a lake, so the rides can hug the ground and rivers. My dream!

Oh, you need the professional version of the software. Then I suggest going into the settings for video recording in the software and experiment with exposure time and sample amounts with some test footage until you've found a combination you like best. I usually change it a little bit for each video depending on the aesthetic of the ride.

as long as the g-forces are no higher than 4.5g its perfectly fine. eye protection would be need as well, those rings could take someones head/arm off so they would need to be bigger but apart from that its nothing too far away from reality. if all those things were dealt with i would ride it.
@jordanb762410 жыл бұрын
I agree that eye protection would be necessary. Luckily the G's never exceed 4. However, if you recall the Schwarzkopf Thriller, the forces exceed 5 G's at one point but only for a fraction of a second. The rings are safe the way they are since they are just made from extremely shortened tunnels. They appear small due to the illusion of high speed which intentionally creates the false effect that they are dangerous.
@TS_Mind_Swept10 жыл бұрын
One Track Mind funny thing though, if you put a clearance envelope on most of the styles, the tunnels intersect it, so I guess the dev's made tunnels that were too small. :p

For what it's worth, just because you set out to build a fantasy coaster does not mean complaints about realism are "invalid," it just means you don't want to hear them, and there is a difference. I might point out that the super duper long launch track is not only unrealistic, but boring. This is true for a lot of sections of this ride, actually. These long track pieces without much movement or changing of forces are a snoozefest. The track lost my attention more than once and there's no real scenery to hold it. In this case-- not a complaint about height or speed, but the actual construction and execution of the track-- perhaps a little more realism would have helped the overall experience some. TLDR: Fantasy coasters are about building what can't be done in real life. There are many reasons this could be: sheer track length/height, speed, crazy scenery/location, unrealistic forces, etc. A complete and total lack of efficiency in utilizing the space and materials isn't a great defining fantasy characteristic, IMO.
@jordanb762410 жыл бұрын
Well I could tell you that my inspiration was to get the sensation of going high speed across long reaches of desert with the space the program allows, but either way you didn't like it and I'm not going to change your mind. But hey, you're not going to change mine either. This is my form of artwork and I'm very happy with what I made. I'm sorry that you're not, but given the ratio of thumbs up to down on this video, I'd say I made something that people find entertaining. Say what you want, this took me a long time, a lot of effort, and I'm proud of my work.
@TheQDawg2410 жыл бұрын
this could be ridable (not sure if thats a word or not) if there was a shield in the front car so riders won't die.
@roccocleavenger385110 жыл бұрын
actually this is only about 10 or 15 MPH then the fastest rollercoaster in the world! but you have to wear goggles on that ride lol
@redpandaz51466 жыл бұрын
Only in the front seat. What if they designed the cars to have an air scoop in the front that would funnel it up like an air shield over the riders heads tho
@TS_Mind_Swept10 жыл бұрын
you should have called it s0nic adventure or something, cause the speed is the only thing about this ride that looks fun. That's the issue with fast rides, there isn't much you can do with the track unless you want to make the thing go to 10 G's or something. :p Those rings seem kind of pointless too, I think you should put less track with the rings more frequent on those sections, that would make them look more intentional and planed and not just stuck there for poops and giggles like they do now. Also, some of the launches are too long, the train hits it's max launch speed way before the launch is over, so it seems cheap that it's there, shortening them wouldn't be too difficult either, it would just take doing it.
@jordanb762410 жыл бұрын

One Track Mind I'm not here for views or subscribers, i'm here to comment and such and I add a video from time to time. I wasn't trying to offend you, I was just saying that this one isn't very realistic. and i know u said in the description that the goal of this one wasn't to be realistic, but my rides don't exactly follow "real ride" rules too closely either. But I try to make them ride-able as if they were real. I like to say I give myself 2% of freedom in NL2 to make what i want, but also for it to be possible to build IRL, and also to look good. So go ahead and brag about being more popular, It doesn't matter to me, I just know what I like and what looks good. most of my opinions i didn't come up with myself, I've gotten them from ppl who know what they are doing, so arguing with what i say is arguing with the experts, and not even *I* would go there.
