Motor mounts going out on a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Just did mine im far from being a mechanic. wk2 V6 grand cheroke laredo 4x4, no lift required. You do need to remove the intake manifold and loosen up the transmission mounts ones you do that losen the motor mounts and then jack up the engine with a 3 ton floor jack take them off unscrewing them is going to take you some hours use 15 mm rachet renches and crowfoot renches, the passenger side is a little more complicated driver side take your time is not impossible. Ones you have both of them out jack up the engine as high as you can sit the new mouts on there base and just slightly screw in the two bolts that go at the bottom of the mounts because the engine is goin to be offset to the drivers side have the moust just slightly bolted is going to allow you to move them around and point them up to right direction lower the engine little by little and move the mounts as the engine comes down so that they can go in at the first try ones you get the mounts in the engine you are done. I save my self $500 by doing this myself it took me 8 hours on my day off.

Yes . cousins vibrating but not lose power ... This is not a transmission

Support (not lift) the engine at the oil pan or bell housing with a jack. Use block of wood to spread the weight and not damage the oil pan. Only replace one at a time. Realize some of the bolts are a huge pain to get to, so bring the new mounts to a shop and ask them to install em for you. lol

We got them done. About 4 hours tear down install and clean up. Worth saving the 800 dollars it would have cost us to have a shop do them.
