Hello Jeffrey very cool video!👍I really had no clue that you could actually rewind a fan motor like this , I have question for you, I have a 1950s wizard box fan that bought about a year ago, and it has the 1/15 hp 2 speed Westinghouse motor, the motor burned up just only 3 days of having it , but I still have the original amateur or rotor to it , would it be possible to rewind it just as you did yours ? U mean count per winding?

or the speed of rotation of fan blades (RPM-revolution per minute)?

We are talking about 'RE'-Winding in here so for the count per winding, we aim to copy the datas from the original windings as much as possible we could, so I pick one coil from running winding (outer coils) and one coil from starting winding(inner coils) then I count them manually. Thats for rewinding, but if you want to design ur own fan motor then thats a different story.

Remember that you're only going to count 2 coils, one from starting winding and one from running winding. Nothing more, nothing less.

this is a really nice video, but i have some questions. frist if im using 120v then should i use half of 500 turns so 250 turns, thats one question the other i thought the frist 4 couls to put in the stator are the starting coils or am i wrong please answer all my questions also since im using 120v should the wire zise change or could it be the same

thanks, for the 1st question, you can count the number of your old coils on your stator after you remove it from the case, 2nd - you can do both, but you should be careful with the direction of turns in each coil. you can follow my diagram for it. 3rd - same answer on your first question, be your old broken stator be your guide for the size and number of turns.

Ay thank you sa pagclaclarify, anyway mostly po kase sa reg fan is AWG #36 ung pinakamanipis na ginagamit kaya kung gagamitin nyo rin po yun dun sa clip fan nyo malaki ung tendency na mag ooverheat agad. Kelangan po ng maninipis pang magnetic wire para sa mga clip fan para high resistance at iwas overheating(ex. AWG#38 or 39) which is mahirap na pong hanapin sa market dahil sa madali napo kasi itong maputol. kaya pag nasusunog ung clip fan ng costumer ko sisasabihan ko nalang na bumuli ng bago kasi wala nang available na magnetic wire para ipangpalit dun.

I watched exactly 8 minutes if this video before ready to pull my hair out. You wasted so much time looking at parts, spinning them around, putting it down and picking it back up to look at the very exact thing all over again. Couldn't take it anymore.
