Motor Swapping NEW AXIAL JEEP CJ7!!!

I ran Fusion SE 1200kv in a Traxxas Sport for a long time, but when I could use the wheel speed to get up loose dirt or sand hills, the 1200 just didn't have it! I put a HW Fusion SE 1800kv in like the rest of my fleet of crawler/trail trucks have (TRX-6 has the Fusion Pro 2300kv) and that turned my Sport into a "Hot Rod"! :) I run 3S lipos in all of them. You really did a nice job on that jeep! And you make a pretty good video to! I enjoyed watching my friend, you take care! God Bless.

Awesome Jeep! FYI, the fusion pro does fit in the cj. I have one in mine and actually put it in before I ever hooked a battery up to it stock.

Great video! I agree that it's beautiful and fun. As far as crawling goes, it's not the one I'd get first. Trailing and rough terrain, YES!! Straight up real crawling on big ass rocks? NOPE!! My stock Redcat Ascent Fusion for $100 less runs circles around my CJ-7. CIRCLES. Plus, the Axial shocks are leaking (ZERO help or support from Axial on this), and the CJ is WAY too top heavy for serious crawling. It is a gorgeous blast of a truck though, and it's one of my favs

I have plans for one once I can get my hands on it. Also I have a scx10.3 base camp builders kit, and the 1800kv SE fusion is perfect. Little more wheel speed than the 1200kv for sure. Gotta love the slow crawls and control with the fusion setup tho! I’m definitely picking up 2 sets of the rock pirate shock keys as it also relocates the front pan hard bar slightly back so you can get full steering on left turns as much as the right turns. Can’t wait to get mines!

Absolutely gorgeous cj7. It's the cj7 I'm interested in watching. It's the most ideally tuned cj7 I've ever seen. I use the Fusion Pro 2300kv on the Exial Bomber2.0 and I'm unhappy with the poor speed control due to torque instability. The upside is that it's faster ^^ Good reviews in a great place Thank you for supporting you Subscribe👍😃

Like you, I prefer it to run like a trail truck/crawler so speed isn't needed. That said, there are times I have been on the rocks and needed just that little bit ore speed to bump up. I put the fusion 1200 in mine and geared down to the smallest gearing which if I recall is 14 tooth? I do love it but yeah... its too slow to drive while walking on the trail with buds now so its strictly for playing on the challenges. Good job on your build. I like it.

A white bucket or green, black etc might work better in conjunction with the red body ? Just my opinion but the orange looks terrible with the red. I have the grey CJ and am still personalising it.

Totally wasn't expecting these to be this much fun. I definitely will be adding some accessories to this as well as maybe some upgrades in the future. Also looking to expand into other RC crawler models as well. Just seems like a cool little hobby!
