I rarely make "plans" while traveling especially in Thailand. I have an outline in my head but there are so many hidden treasures to discover plans go out the window quickly. Only thing I planned was my 1st trip for surgery at Phuket International Hospital.
@somkit91023 жыл бұрын
Planned surgeries are way better than unplanned surgeries.
@peacfulseas3 жыл бұрын
@@somkit9102 Agreed and if I need elective surgery I would not think twice about another trip to the table there. The care and accommodations were 1st class. The same surgery in the states would have been 25k or more. I paid $8,750.00 that included surgeries, doctor, hospital fee for 13day stay. Then 29days exploring, falling in love with the people. That was in 2002 and I have been back every year until Covid-45. I'm not particularly fond of the holidays so I go from late OCT to Feb.
@wobblybob50293 жыл бұрын
Best advice for Thailand ever sir. Just explore. I often take my day backpack and head off into any direction, after a day of adventure, seeing interesting places and meeting beautiful people, I will just get a taxi back to my hotel. (Always take a business card from your hotel with the name and address in Thai, that makes it much easier to get back when you had too many beers.)

Great stuff CB. If you are still on your way on the Coast stay on the coastal road heading for Rayong and pass through Ban Phe, where you can catch a ferry to Ko Samet, then round the headland to the east and you will then be travelling on Hat Mae Rumphueng Road. Tucked in just behind and east of the headland is Laemya Restaurant and Bar. It’s a great spot for lunch right on the beach. The host and owner is Kan, a lovely lady, who will look after you. Tell her that Tony recommended her restaurant to you. Enjoy Mate.

i just wanted to inform you of a great "Pro Street" Ford Mustang existing in Phuket. Try trace it when you there. i have seen it in 2010. the owner was named Ken and he was American or Canadian. He used to go to a pub called "The Boatyard" in old Phuket Town (The town not the tourist area) i do not know if the pub still exists. Gareth from Aussie land was the owner. This is probably the nicest Pro Street in Thailand, with a "Morrison" tube chassis i think, and a Big Block Caddy motor. A mind-blowing car, streetworthy but full race chassis setup.
