Thanks Jeff for taking the time to comment my video with positive input. Like to apalogize To everybody for the music, but would just say that this was my very first vidéo ever . Can't want to do another trip. Thinking of having my now 2010 GS1200 airplaned To Bordeaux France and travel between France and Spain To Barcelone.

That was a great video. The music was a bit too much though. I would rather here the commentary and the bikes and if you have music please turn down the volume a bit. Jespere que je peux faire quelque chose comme ca bientot. Cest loin d ici pour moi. Jhabite a Alberta.

Awesome video and trip. Hope I make it out there before they pave the whole trans labrador highway.

Goose Bay to Port Hope Simpson is actually 405km with no services in between, so an extra 5 or 10 liters is necessary from most bikes.

Proof that there are kindred spirits on 2-wheels. I just found this video and had already mapped out this same trip for 2023 with the addition of following the coastal outline of NB up to Gaspé. Would love to have any pointer and suggestions. I would agree that the head-banging music was distracting and didn't seem to fit the visuals. But those are artistic choices from the creator. Just not to my taste.

I already like your video as you mention the very model of bike I am looking for now. Good video.

Was a great bike, replaced it last year with a Honda Nc 750X for comfort and now I changed again with a Bmw R1200gs 2010 for even more comfort for the long haul.If you do have a KLR I would recomend using synthetic oil because it burns less oil in the long run. Good luck!!
@baltsosser6 жыл бұрын
Did the oil change interval change when you went with full synthetic?
@pasbal6766 жыл бұрын
Yes Richard who has R1200 gs does his with synthetic oil change between 12000 and 15000km where as regular oil would be around 5000km I would assume the same would be true for a KLR.

Hi, thanks for the useful tips. I plan to cross Canada after this chinese virus lockdown. After yours first adventure what lessons did you learn? E.g.: Any weight above 20kg (including spare parts, clothes, camping gear, tools, etc) is overkill? Thanks

It is called Covid not Chinese virus FYI. Good luck with your adventures. Cheers

Awesome tour guys! I sailed the South coast of NFL this past August but didn’t spot any Icebergs. What time of year did you go? I’m thinking my next trip I will head more north just to spot some icebergs.

Hi I,d like to know how the KLR stood their ground against the GS, was it a struggling event for them, appreciate the images. thanks for sharing
@pasbal97853 жыл бұрын
Yes KLR 650CC does not compare to a 1200cc drive shaft that doesn't need maintenance. Also sprocket and chain on KLR were completly worn Of course the price are not the same. Now I have a 2010 GS1200 that I love. Thanks Jelau drive safe and all the best.

I know its been a while but I hope you all learned some better bike packing strategies since. five liters of gas in a bungie net at head level? 50 ish pounds way up there wobbling around. Rule 1: heavy goes low. Rule 2: bungie is bad. I hope you all got some good rides in since!

Hi Francis! Just got back from Anticosti island. Amazing trip . Will post as soon as I get through the 300 plus videos. Highly recommended trip. Only things is not to have a tight schedule, because the ferry is not always on time! Take care for now!! ☺

This music was a distraction. Why do people think such music is useful? 8-)
@j.charlesiii36612 жыл бұрын
I thought I would be able to watch the trip in its entirety - but - the music soon became intolerable. Moreover, using the mute button became truly challenging when trying to such up with the narrative portions. The narration was great and would be sufficient. Possibly choose a low decibel softer background audio to appease the senses in a positive way.

Did you encounter any wildlife on the roads? (I'm only 15 min into the vid)
@pasbal6766 жыл бұрын
Encountered 2 moose during the whole trip. Saw alot of cross along the trans canada highway indicating were their were accidents, most likely with moose. I do not recomend driving at nite for this reason.
