You forgot to mention winter therapy sessions. You should watch track day and Moto America videos at least three night a week to keep your sanity intact during snowmageddon season. This could save some unsuspecting non-motorcycling persons life when the ask what's the big deal about not riding?

Lol, this one is focused on the bikes we'll have to put out a "rider winter lay up" video later on to cover these topics you mentioned. 🤣

@JKMotoEntertainment That was for the 🏍. They are addicted to the shindig too. The Red Rocker gets grouchy when not properly thrashed on a regular basis 🤪🤪🤪

Fair enough, do you have any good tips for helping the bikes through the long off season?
@peytonhibdon76595 күн бұрын
@JKMotoEntertainment If you choose to start the bike in the cold be sure to let it get warm and heat sink for 25 or 20 minutes. Then restart the bike and let it come up to full temperature and idle several minutes. If it is truly warm throughout it will sweat internally which is detrimental to the oil ability to protect the internals.

do you leave it on a charger whole winter on the bike? I got a thickle charger and wondering if the battery needs a break once in a while of the charger. (mine should cut off when full)

With the trickle, I've always left it on when the bike is not in use. I'm definitely no battery expert, but the trickle chargers are usually good about only charging when there is a need for it.

in terms of starting the bike periodically, if youre going to do it actually ride the bike or let it idle for like 20 minutes. you will always naturally have some condensation in the motor and its not a big deal. But if you start it and dont let the bike run long enough to actually evaporate it youre actually doing more harm than good.

Good tips, thank you!! I honestly usually just let mine sit or pull them out on a sunny day and do some neighborhood laps to ensure their up to temp!

Use fuel stabilizer and fill the tank

Motorcycle season is ending.....😭 I'm curious, do you top off your bike with fuel??? .....to eliminate the "air space" in the tank. 🤔 .....snowboard season is starting. 😃👍❤🏂
@peytonhibdon76595 күн бұрын
@NHlocal Full it to the top. This prevents the inside of the tank from sweating as temperatures go up and down during off season. It prevents rust on tank walls and gas with rusty water in come spring.
