Thanks for the infos very interesting, i know you changed your chain recently did you ever plan to change for 520 ( lighter chain, for less rotating mass?) is it a good idea ? Im hesitating . By the way, your new intro is so cool!

I am a firm believer in keeping stock chain sizes on the motorcycle unless you are changing sprockets which, may lead to other problems on bikes that have a lot of electronics. If you change your z16 front sprocket for a z15, for example, it may cause problems with quick shifter error codes. These bikes are meticulously setup and I prefer not to upset the applecart so to speak.

Nice and clear, thank you. But, what about a 428 chain? The third digit does not obviously translate to eighths or sixteenths but the distance between plates is apparently 5/16". They're messing with my maths😂

428 is an oddball non-standard size for some reason.

Lets talk chain index plz im confused as i want the did 525 110 theres 2 otions one says chain life index is 3100 the other says 4000 cant find the right info online

I need a 428 HO. What is the HO? For example can I use a 428 VX?

The 428VX may be a better performing chain and both are heavy duty.

Same as yours but my T160 takes a 520 and can only just squeeze an 'O' ring chain in of certain brands . 'O' ring chains were not invented back in 1975 .
