Thank you for the demonstration. I have a couple of questions. 1- What would be a good starting point? Lever half way, the cable half way and then adjust the screw? 2- when I loosen the lever and the cable all the way to maximum cable slack, then, I screw in the clutch also all the way, the wheel continues to rotate (with no resistance applied) is that normal? 3- it is hard to get my bike into neutral. When I do manage to get it into neutral and tilt the bike to the right the transmission engages. Tilt it to the left, it disengage. Could this be a clutch adjustment or is my transmission bad? I bought it second hand with only 182kms on the odometer. Looking forward to your response.

2 try to screw it all the way in and then apply the rear brake it should stop without affecting the engine tone question 3 if the clutch isnt adjusted properly you will struggle to get into neutral

How is the bike not stalling if its in 1st gear with no clutch pulled in ?
@bobbieboyd8211 Жыл бұрын
It's not bearing any weight on the bike cause it to free move. If the back wheel was on the ground it would stall immediately

My bikes clutch is releasing at the very end. Which adjustment will get the clutch to engaged sooner? Closer to the grip.

if there is no adjustment already on the cable you will have to adjust it on the engine

I hit clutch aquater and back of quarter of a turn but bike is still slipping not as bad as it was but still not delivering the full power any help please

it is quite hard to diagnose an issue without seeing the bike directly but i would check the clutch basket itself the plates may be biding in there or maybe replace the 4 tension spring

My yamasaki ym50 struggles to go from 1st gear to 2nd. I’m not sure if it’s something to do with the clutch needing tightening or if it’s another issue. Any suggestions?

@@Ridingreviews Yh the gear indicator goes blank sometimes inbetween neutral and 1st but you can tell it’s still in gear because it tries to pull of when you release the clutch

You can adjust it on the handlebars, or there is an adjuster in the middle of the cable. What is wrong with your bike? What are the symptoms
