you need a little clearance for the oil film thickness between the wristpin and the small conn rod end.

hello i have a motorcycle i suspect it was a crankshaft thats making a noise like a ticking sound when i rev my engine.. ive adjusted my valve clearance and the timing chain has been check but the noise still there. it was on my channel.. i can't figure it out..

hello i just have a quarry i.e., my bullet electra 2005 5S Cast Iron connecting rod is play only side ways ....... so is it safe to install new block piston ....???

sideways play is ok. you can install it.

Is it normal for the conrod to be feeling slightly rough when u move it up and down?

Unfortunately no. Try to bathe the whole assembly in solvent while you move the conrod. Maybe there are metal pieces in the bearing.

2stroke normally have wrist pin needle bearing. 4stroke normally don't have it.

Hello i have a Question for you, if the rod is not freely spinning on the crank, does this mean the crank is bad? If you check the video on my channel, you can see a better example of what I’m trying to explain.

Can you chack piston rod movement with the head or top end removed insted of opening the crank case or gearbox

In my case when you remove the cylinder you can reach the piston connecting rod. At this point if you can try locking the crank in place securely then I think you should be able the check if there is any play.

some have needle bearing some have just plain bearings. depends on the design
