joseph mackenzi it depends on the manufacturer.For tvs Apache rtr the oil change and oil filter change schedule is 2500kms or six months whichever is earlier.

Blue smoke means oil is burning. White smoke means ,air is more then adjust carburettor air fuel ratio. Air fuel ratio can be adjusted by screw in carburetor Air is more, so white smoke

I changed the oil back to TVS Tru 4 synthetic in my APCHE 160 4V. It was the chain which was making sound after getting a new MOTUL 7100 synthetic oil. Got it readjusted at service centre. Working fine.
