Picked up my first bike in Co off some Mennonites property, they left it to the waste and the original owner let me get it. Every part replaced using the old Dennis Kirk catalogs. Best bike ever. Now I ride a brand new mt03 and I'm so happy to be back on two's. God bless America.

As a rider myself, this was heartbreaking to watch. Could only imagine how many laughs, smiles have been generated on all those bikes. Most looked that could be salvaged for parts. Would be a project person’s paradise too. I could be wrong but I think this place is in Georgia

They also get more often repaired. Other than western modular component swap, they get REPAIRED and reinstalled.

I sense a sadness in Ken's voice. I am sad too. Those were all wonderful bikes, and the stories they could tell from their years on the road, track, or trail. It's a shame that owners neglect, fail to repair or replace a part, and eventually send the bikes off to this permanent home. For any true two wheel enthusiast, this is a hard video to watch. Pride of ownership goes a long way....and in many cases, keeps bikes like these on the road and running.

I totally agree, but, I suppose manufacturers are also to blame to some extend; they stop support, parts become harder to get, they come up with new models and me buying a new one instead of repairing is often attractive, heaving the banks support with cheap money... its sad though, and I hope some can partly live on as replacement part on another one still in use, or else as reused metals in new bikes....

Who would of ever thought they would ever bring over a million dollars at an auction today ..and i just happen to know a man who visits my local watering hole who now owns one of three of the rarest the most valuable muscle cars ever to exist and he doesnt have a clue of what hes really got only that his father bought it brand new in 1970 and told the kid to never sell her...so he paid a professional $27,000 to restore his dads car back to factory with the original paint it still has on it from the factory shinning like the day it was made 53 years ago, besides he aint no ordinary bar fly as he is the boss of a demolition crew who is the only ones who know how to blast through mountains of rock for natural gas companies to lay pipe ..so hes already a multi millionaire and wouldnt part with his dad's car for anything and everything there is in the world ! But i would in a hot new york minute ...they made a lot of hemis and they made a lot of cudas ...but they never made over three 1970 hemi cuda rag tops with a four speed on the floor and two four barrel carburators on a 426 Chrysler hemi as it is the most powerful muscle car ever produced and documented ...don " big daddy" garlits about 30 years ago on his cable tv show feature a museum curator sell one to a japanese man who was contracted by japanese white collar business men to buy up all the rarest american muscle cars there is no matter what the cost ..and on big daddy don's show 30 + - years ago i sat in front of my tube with tears in my eyes as one of the three ever made went for $6,000,000 dollars with big daddy bragging about it that was my first time ever hearing about it as big daddy himself admitted there were only three 1970 cudas made with a hemi , equiped with two fours a four speed on the floor and a rag top ...if you ever seen the movie " fantasium " you saw the hero in #2 ..chasing the " tall man " the ghoul from other planet ...and now you and me are the only two people in the entire world who know were #3 is ...and dont you feel special ,,,,,ba ha ha ha ha ....lol

I used to work at a place similar looking to that as a teen in the late 80s 90 s Called Joes Used Cycle in N Dartmouth Massachusetts . I learned so much working there .

You should see the junkyard that was on Michael Sabo’s Basket case garage . It’s twice the size of this yard with modern bikes and ATVs and UTVs . They literally walked up to several bikes that was being junked and fired them up and they might have smoked or needed something but not junked. It was almost sickening to see running and rideable bikes being junked and some had parts sold off of them and still ran fine

I just Googled Bob's Used cycle parts to see if they are still in business here in Phoenix, and it shows that they still are in business with a website with pictures, looks like they have a lot of bikes and parts that is well-organized , I remember that place being around for many years.

Yall should should see the inside of the buildings. The entire building is loaded with motorcycles. There is motorcycles on the service counter that is no longer used. This place is amazing to say the least and only one man works there. Bridges cycle salvage in Washington GA they got anything you will ever need for 2 wheels. Ken needs to buy this place. I was up there a few years ago and the man said he wanted to sell all of it.

I know all of those bikes, at one time or another, had beautiful stories to tell. Shame that their owners didn't take better care of them, and that they gave up on them. Very sad, because I'm quite sure that there is alot of potential in many of those bikes, for a beautiful restoration, which would need to be done by your business, since Y'all are the best of the best in my honest opinion. The proof is in all of yall's videos, and should Never be questioned.

"Sport wheels" in Jordan Minnesota was the same.. until 15 years ago.. they relocated down the road.. scrapped alot.. downsized.. and have a large building for good bikes. As I was hunting parts outside for my v65.. THE owner was out there moving junk around.. he said he enjoyed the old days.. cause he rode alot of these cycles. 1987 I worked Buds Cycle Austin tx - it had similar amount of old bikes = ALL were melted down for scrap using portable melting pot rig - was before the internet so were mostly worthless at the time -except for aluminum scrap price -
