Try taking those measurements on a Street Glide. The clamps are obscured by the fairing. How will you measure pullback and height?
@chaparralmotorsports Жыл бұрын
Hello, your best bet is to have someone help you. Then you sit on the seat, place your hands out where you want your new bars to set, then have the other person take measurements from the stock bars to your hand position. Then add/subtract those measurements from the stock bar measurements or whatever the measurements are of the bars you currently have.

Cool video... would most Harley bars (1 inch) fit onto modern metric bikes?
@chaparralmotorsports3 жыл бұрын
Hello. Thanks. There is some cross over. You really need to just do your homework ahead of time and make sure the bars you buy will work with your current setup and whether or not you will need to make modifications or make other purchases such as longer shorter cables or modify the control wires.

@@chaparralmotorsports I guess I ask because I’ll see a one inch set of say, Buckhorns.. I know a v star has one inch bars but when I plug in that information, it says it doesn’t fit. Does that take into account other factors besides diameter?

The welding shown on your example is incorrect. The stubs should NOT be welded to the ends of the yoke, but at least an inch farther back, resulting in a stronger weld. P.S. It is bemusing to watch the common knowledge of the '60s being rediscovered 60 years later.

Chaparral Motorsports yeah thanks any advice on handlebars for 2018 fat boy I have the original bars and I am thinking to get something that will be safe to ride like 10”or 12” I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

Nice David! I am personally a fan of the LA Choppers or Biltwell bars. I like their styles. I do recommend that you have a sit on your bike, hold your arms out and get that "perfect fit feeling" and then measure down to your riser clamp to see the perfect height bar for you. It makes a HUGE difference. After putting all the work into the swap, getting a bar an inch too tall or too short is a real bummer. Trust me... On a single bike I went through 5 bar swaps before I got it "just right." But once dialed... GOLDEN. Thanks for watching. - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

Brad has his arms at full strech, surely you have a duty of care for your customers. With has elbows locked how is he going to steer?
@chaparralmotorsports6 жыл бұрын
Hi Harry, yes good point and something we forgot to address in the video. You do want to make sure you can still operate the motorcycle safely and maneuver the frontend comfortably from stop to stop. If you notice that you cannot fully turn the bars to the left or right, then pulling them back a bit will help. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@MrPavePaws5 жыл бұрын
You obviously didn't not know Brad, he has trained with Chuck Norris. Brad doesn't ask the bike to steer or turn. The bike asks Brad if it's okay if it's okay.

Does anyone know what size the black Z bars were on the HD in this video
@chaparralmotorsports6 жыл бұрын
Hi Matt, thanks for watching our video. Those are Biltwell's Keystone bars. They are the 1" OD bars for Harley fitment. The measurements are: 28.5" wide from bar end to bar end. 6.5" wide at the bottom (inside). They are almst 5" tall at the highest point. The bar ends have 2.25" of pullback and the bar ends drop down about 3". You can find them on our website. www.chapmoto.com/biltwell-keystone-handlebars-parent-072-0601-2153 thanks again. Eric.

What about T-bars that bolt to the triple tree?
@chaparralmotorsports7 жыл бұрын
Hi Quill6211, it'd be the same process for T-bars. The only difference would be for the height, instead of measuring form the risers you'll be measuring from the top side of the top trip tree.
@quill62117 жыл бұрын
Thx. What's the closest 1 1/4 inch Chrome T-Bar you have to fit a 2008 Rocker C FXCWC to the measurements of 33 inch width - 13 inch high from the trip tree - 9 inch pull back?
@quill62117 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry its 15 inches to the trip tree not 13.
@chaparralmotorsports7 жыл бұрын
Hi Quill6211, this is the closest thing we have to the dimensions you are looking for. These are 3.5 inches center to center for the mounts--not sure what the measurement is on the center to center bar mount location is on the rocker C? As long as it's 3.5" these would bolt up to your bike. www.chaparral-racing.com/product/wild-1-psyco-chubby-12-chopper-t-bar-handlebar/321-1564.aspx
