I remember my instructor said to me before I took my MOD2. "The test isn't to see whether or not you're a full rider but to see if you are deemed safe enough to start riding on the roads. This is the start not the end."

I love your good mood even when you're responding to silly comments! You're one of the most genuine moto youtubers and one of the reasons I'm gonna pass my test as soon as I can!

My brother has let me have a go on his cbr 600, its so much easier to ride than my 125 i was blown away that he trusted me to have a go on his bike

Gobs , I was one of those people that said you shouldn't have let your wife ride the bigger bikes, main reason, she was too nervous and I felt you were pushing her to ride the bike. There is also the fact she could hurt herself and trash the bike. The risk with the beautiful zzr1400 was silly in my opinion. If she crashed into another driver....She could have lost everything. Not having a licence would void any insurance..you were lucky she didn't hurt herself.it was 50-50. I agree with you as soon as you past your test, it doesn't make you an expert. It does take time and thats when you actually start learning and thats exactly what it is, a learning kerb. You gradually learn and build your way up and not just iump in. Exactly your analogy comparison with a doctor, which actually proved you.wrong, as soon as a doctor passes his necessary qualifications, it's a slow build up to be full trusted and competent. Same as when you pass your.test, jumping straight in is and always will be a 50-50 gamble.. I'm not saying that I'm here to tell you if you can allow your wife to ride your bike or not. However. If you put this content on a public internet (youtube). You are inviting people to have criticism, good or bad and you have to be able to accept it. .

Anywhere that the public have access is not a private road. So in the eyes of the law what he is doing is illegal since the public have access to that area and since she doesn't have a licence for riding unrestricted

I rode a Varadero 125 for three seasons with a short half day course without exam (local laws), and learned so much in these 3 years, that when I decided to do my big bike license in autumn last year, I immediately felt good on the 650 they provided and aced the exam. So I am with you on that!

I went from a 125 to a Yamaha Diversion 600. From that, I went to a GSXR-6 and then to a Hayabusa. The bike that gives me the best smile....was the Diversion. Why? Because I felt that I could get the most out of that bike. The GSXR-6 could never get the most from it...but it did get close and the Hayabusa is really only ever around 10%of its maximum. 600 sports tourers are the best bikes in my opinion. Get an old Yamaha Thundercat. You can't beat it for value.

I did my CBT in June 23 bought a XSR125 and was hooked Was a keen cyclist for many years Did my DAS in November 23 and bought a ZZR1441 PS in February 24 It’s all about control of the right wrist and common sense when on the road

was on a 125 myself for 5 or so years, passed got my licence less than 2 years ago and got 1996 zx6r then moved to a 2002 vfr 800, and now got a zzr1400 and honestly bigger the bike engine easier it is to ride (my opinion) vfr 800 was a brilliant bike reliable bags of power and great fun when in vtec, zzr1400 was my dream bike and its lived up to it, only had it a month or so, honestly absolutely shite myself when i first got on it but after a mile or so that was it fell in love with it, next upgrade is the gen2 sports edition.

In the late 80s my friends let me ride their hard tail chops and other bikes to give me experience and to learn from them, it made me a better rider, I never took my test I’ve just decided to stick with a 125 as it suits my needs etc

Well said, there is no harm what so ever, it is not about the size of the engin, it is about the rider ability and rider sensibility. My opinion and experience of riding a 125, it was more dangerous than the bigger bikes, before I passed, I never felt safe on the 125, I now ride bigger bikes and feel confident and safe. Keep these vids coming, brilliant. Stay safe everyone 🏍🏍🏍

I'm 57 now and I've been riding all my life, if you have been riding a 125 for a few years then you have good road sense and understand all the controls of a bike, at some point she will be riding a bigger bike so introducing her to one on a private road with your guidance and experience is a good Idea idea, I'm sure that she is aware of the difference between a 125 and a 900cc bike and the need to be very careful with all that power as it can all get out of hand very quickly if you don't give the bike respect, and you are right about the test, that is all it is 'A test' you learn how to really ride a bike afterwards, it's all about experience and that comes in the years after passing your test, I don't think you've done anything wrong but everyone has their own opinion at the end of the day.

Giving her the chance to practice on a big bike is a good idea mate I have done my CBT, MOD 1, and passed my theory I've been riding for 3 years on a 125 and have never had an accident I did attempt the MOD 2 but failed I apparently stopped at a green light and admittedly was speeding my fault I had stuck in my head my instructor telling me to keep up with traffic, unfortunately, they were also speeding I reckon they should give you 2 options 12 hours riding time on an A2 bike or the MOD2 for the full license.

A “Black Belt” means you are ready to start learning , it doesn’t mean you know everything , A motorcycle license is similar 😃

Troosh, from Level Up, was stunting 600cc in the lot before she had a license, rushed to get on day of her first stunt gig to legally perform at dealership. Definitely does not mean a thing. So many with full license can have no experience or confidence, and those are only coming over time.

In America we don’t even bother getting a motorcycle license at all, just hop on the bike and ride 😎 great video

Moto license is so insignificant that police in my city don't even give af. I've been stopped and they didn't even say anything. Friends have stopped and they've said nothing. The only thing it's really good for here is insurance discounts
