After about ten years of riding I pulled the speakers off my Sony Walk Man headset (remember those?), glued them inside my helmet, tuned in my favorite radio station and did that until I learned not to. I didn't hear the engine quite as well or the screeching tires from behind and my fellow riders barking at a stop. But these weren't the main reasons why I gave it up and have been music free for fourty years. My mood swings when riding while listening to music made for some pretty stupid riding on my part. I kept telling myself I had to learn better self control and I did. I finally stopped taking the Walk Man. Problem solved for me.

I don't listen to music while I ride. Probably a carry-over from when I learned to drive stick a hundred years ago. I had to listen to know when to shift. Once shifting my car became intuitive I could blast music. On the bike though... I barely figured out how to cram a mic into the helmet, let alone a speaker.

Prior to starting our YT channel I often listened to music on my bike, now I do not if we’re filming. The problem now is that we rarely ride without filming, and that in itself presents a problem… because I agree with you when you say that riding with music tends to make the riding experience more enjoyable. ✌️

I always have music going. I recently did a 2900mi trip and my Sena died, it was strange now to not have music. My moto playlist is some 600+ songs now. It's a huge mix. I don't listen to fast or agressive rock while riding. Lots of 80's pop and such with a slow beat, reggea, old hip hop, stuff like that. Keeps me calm and smooth with the throttle. Smooth is fast, stay chill and you go faster. Hmm, one song. Maybe, One Headlight by the Wallflowers. Maybe Fading Like a Flower by Roxette. Maybe, Spacehog in the meantime, but I think the winner would have to be Thomson Twins - If you leave. Don't make fun of me.. That is tough to pick one. Also, the waves audio did a great job of killing the noise.

I definitely dig Irish, Scottish, Norse (and Canadian) inspired music. Do you listen to Colm McGuinness at all? He's pretty cool. Great Big Sea has some great sea-type songs (listen to "Banks of Newfoundland"). As for ONE song? I can't really narrow it down. I tend to get fixated on a song for weeks and then get fixated on another. Certain songs hit me a certain way and I get stuck on them. I will risk embarrassment and say I've been stuck on "Slow Burn" by Kacey Musgraves lately. The textures and composition are amazing in the headphones. Next week who knows? Could be Tragically Hip, Devin Townsend, classic Sepultura, RATM, Massive Attack, or Vertical Horizon... My head is a kaleidoscopic lava lamp and just burbles on and on into infinity. Music is playing in there constantly whether I have a radio on or not!

Yep, I listen to music while riding. Unless I'm Motovlogging, it's too much of a distraction. I'm mainly a Metal Head, but funny enough I rarely listen to Metal while riding. Couple reasons, one....my Cardo speakers don't really like metal music and it doesn't sound great. Also I get too focused on the music. So funny enough, while riding I usually listen to 80's and 90's pop, rock and rap
