I remember the old British bikes had the gear shift on right and the brake on the left! Confusing for some of your younger subscribers? But the English breakfast remains the same! Thanks for all your great videos
@stevetaylor86983 жыл бұрын
So did Italian motorcycles. The Americans forced the change, suggesting that a more delicate movement was needed on the brake pedal than the gear shifter, and given that most people are right handed (and footed), insisted that all new motorcycles sold in the US have the brake pedal operated by the right foot.

Hi Sandy Just binge watched your videos to catch up with your content. Absolutely fantastic, so interesting and entertaining, more places we now need to visit. Anglesey brought back memories; we had a wonderful couple of weeks in Wales back in 88, loved it. Funny though, only been back once since then, about four years ago in Betas-y Coed on our Honda CBF 1000 A7; must go again soon. We are lucky in the NE of England as we have two in steam beam engine’s within 25 miles of home, Darlington and a slightly larger engine at Ryhope, exhibited a few times there at classic bike shows. Thank you for the heads up on the brake lines, will defo keep an eye on them. Got a cottage booked in Scotland, about 10 mls north west of Inverness. I’m not well enough to ride all the way there so we are going to trailer our Himalayan, that way my wife Ann can drive if I go pare shaped. Looking forward to doing Applecross again, we go in from Torridon and do Belach-na -bar last, turn round and do it from the other way, lovely. Know your work is much appreciated Sandy.
