A huge improvement to the tracking of the DJI MIni Pro. The obstacle avoidance is like black magic - you can see my disbelief around 1.09 :D

It's great. But if it also had follow-me you would use that 9 times out of 10.

Im not sure GPS-Tracking would work that fast with active obstacle avoidance. But we're no drone geeks so maybe there are some drones that can do that.

@@ScramTours I may be wrong but I think the Skydio uses GPS together with optical tracking and obstacle avoidance, and it is fast enough. But with follow-me you don't really need obstacle avoidance. You can put it high and away from trees and buildings and have it fly in view in front of you, if it is programmed right. It also flies much more predictably and doesn't swerve all over the place. That's the problem with active-track. The drone flies exactly where all the hazards are so it won't lose you. It's a great feature to get nice shots from relatively close. But practical on a long trip it is not. People soon find it very annoying having to stop the whole time to use the touchscreen. Maybe Litchi or Maven will be available for the Mini 4? Definitely worth buying!

@@driewiel Yeah we had our eyes on one of Skydios Line-Up as well. Sadly they stopped their consumer lineup and they were quite difficult to import to Europe. With taxes it would have been almost double the price of the Mini 4. Im not sure how DJI handles Software intrusions when it comes to their DJI-Care service. Most likely wont grip anymore then. Sadly we have pretty tight regulations when it comes to flight height as well, that combined with the changes in elevation and trees obstruckting the view in the Blackforest-District would make it pretty cumbersome to use. You have some modes with the new Active Track you can choose between - trace and parallel and you can define certain preferred behaviours. But we will have to test out how well that actually works!

@@ScramTours I'm not sure if the drone will adjust altitude when using follow-me in Litchi or Maven? Nor if you still have obstacle avoidance? But you're not going to risk your Mini 4 Pro when it's too much a risk anyway. In the open field follow-me is just more user-friendly. Push of a button. You put it somewhere you can see it. The best sensors are in your head.
