I have a 2005 Ninja 500R with the same broken signal boot and the other entire turn signal dislodged. This video was extremely helpful, and thanks for posting the Kawasaki part number. It makes doing the fix cheaper than ordering the entire stalk and turn kit (which the dealer recommended).

I don't remember....I think I used a blunt tool to Jimmy it in place...
