Anyone that dislikes this will be haunted by Lemmy - there was only 2 minutes of footage to work with and I produced this as a tribute to Lemmy and Motorhead and released it on Friday 10th June 2016 the 1st day of Download Festival where Motorhead were due to play. You may not like heavy metal but everyone liked and loved Lemmy, he was a great guy and greatly missed. For me this is even more special as I was at this gig on 22nd March 1976 and saw the birth of Motorhead. Amazing memories.

Holy f'ck!! Damn, they rocked hard as hell in the 70's. We didn't know shit back then if it wasn't on the radio. No streaming, no youtube, just am/fm... I wish I'd have found Motorhead earlier. How is it that I'm 54, and just getting hip long after Lemmy's gone. Absolute perfection.

And at the end of the vid there's a clear description of what is going on, SO NO CLICKBAIT! Just jailbait😂 Thanks for uploading 👍 And (ps) the no sleep till Hammersmith "live" record clearly contains a lot of dubbing.., but that doesn't spoil it for me what so ever! Greetings bibia.

I had high expectations when I read in summer 1977 that Lemmy would release an album which "would kill the grass in your neighbors garden". Some months later I got the album - and for sure it killed the grass everywhere ... I had the luck having seen this famous Motöhead line-up (Lemmy, Eddie, Phil) several times live - my ears are still bleeding ;-) There won't be (ever) another band with this explosive energy ... only MC5 were playing 10 years earlier (in the late 60s) in the same league (listen to "Kick Out the Jams").

The video may be from 1976 but this song was recorded live in 1980 and is featured in the No Remorse LPx2, a 'best of' of sorts which this version of 'Motorhead' was first released on the No Sleep 'til Hammersmith LP which was released in 1981 and was recorded live from various shows between '7 February-20 April 1980. If you wanna hear what the song 'Motorhead' sounded like in 1975/76, listen to Hawkwinds version.

Thank you so much for posting!!! you did well in compiling this video footage with another early sound track, this is truly an important piece of rock n roll history, it's important that people can see and hear how Motorhead sounded in the 70's, I saw them many times during this period, and they were so raw!!! just 3 people with so much energy, they would set the place on fire!!! we had such a good time at those gigs... It's crazy coz the punk scene was starting and they would attract a lot of rockers and some punks, but at the same time many rockers thought that they were too punk, and many punks thought that they were too rock. And me I love many styles of music and seen many gigs from Stevie Wonder to Buddy Guy but those early Motorhead gigs in London were some of my best memories ever!! oh that reminds me anyone remember the Lightnin Raiders, used to follow them too

He rocked until he dropped.. I dont give a fuck how he sounded if even he got some lyrics wrong, 70 years old and riddled with cancer but still rocking the live shows not giving a fuck. Who else could do that? Lemmy is the god father of metal and in my opinion the best live perform of all time and his last shows goes to prove my point, he wouldn't stop the music even when death had him in it's grasp, he carried on for the fans. He lived in a one bedroom apartment until he died and Motorhead tickets didn't rise in price as he wanted every one to be able to afford to see motorhead, money didnt mater to him; that's how much he cared about music (of course he could afford a bigger place but his place was so close to his local bar so he never moved lol)
