Yeah same. I was approx. 5 feet from the stage and my ears were shot for days. I lost my wallet in the pit as well and nearly felt I risked my life crawling on the floor trying to locate it. This was in Stavanger, Norway, 2005. Motorhead is one of those bands I appreciate having seen live before it was too late. AC/DC with Malcolm and Phil in 2001 being another memorable event.

Yeah but what genre were they? Metal? Punk and I ain't talking Bowie and other bullshit. Lemmy dressed Like country. So??? To be honest we need a new genre... Motormetal? Yeah. I mean seriously a bass played like a guitar with distortion and dirt. Lemmy's style on bass gets me. Out of the fuckin chute that dirty distorted bass is the prominent sound. It's omnipresent even over the lead and drums but seems to compliment both. I like the tag Motor Metal and I have played in a few bands and play six and four strings. And these boys filled stadiums. So they did something right.

I’m 56 almost 57, must have see 450 concerts hundreds of different bands, When I saw Lem and the boys for the, who knows 6 or 7th time 1986, their loudest show I went to, the loudest band out of all the others, my ears were ringing for a week, we miss you Lemmy, and Motörhead thank you for years of live performances and the recordings you left us fuck yeah

Man Motorhead was special. They were unique like all of the greatest bands were. Lemmy playing a for string bass so fuckin dirty and distorted with a Marshall Tube and cabinet that Marshall don't even make anymore. And a lead singer AKA Lemmy that sang with his head up and eyes closed because that is muther fuckin talent instead of whoring for attention. Filling a venue is just a by product. Pure, raw and unrefined and just pure talent. No marketing and no messages or meaning socially other than full on bad ass and fuck you if you don't like it. Us poor stupid uneducated idiots today are missing pure talent like this. Just pure full on don't give a fuck about your feelings rock and fucking roll overloading tunes. These boys sure ain't party but God damn they can play. And thier sound was totally uniquely Motorhead and honest.

All videos like this concert do is make me weep that I never got to see them live. Never on earth was their a trio this fast, this loud, this powerful and this badass. Take ZZ Top, run the speed to 3x and then pump them full of Maker's Mark and some benzedrine and you might get close but you still won't have the spirit and attitude. I was lucky enough to have caught them live 2-3 times at Graspop, somewhat by chance. The first time you see Lemmy IRL is really special, you know you're witnessing someone larger than life, a legend. Should've gotten more into the band while they were still kicking, but at that point such things didn't cross my mind yet.

Really? I grew up in London on the 1980's.. They were massive here. Sold out everywhere they played, even made & the pop singles charts on a few occasions. Saw the original line up on the Ace of Spades tour...iAmazing! I had a loss of hearing for a few days though.

Another Perfect Day is actually still my favourite Motorhead album. So, Lemmy. Not everyone hated it. This was also the first tour I saw Motorhead, aged 13.. Support band was Anvil. Rest in peace brother, 🙏

Motorhead 1979, Hammersmith, some guy in the third row was throwing coins at Lemmy. The roadies walked across the backs of the chairs, beat the guy to a pulp and all the while the music never stopped. Was deaf for three days. Good times!

This older recording from 2006 has in my opinion a better sound quality than the Rockpalast-Recording from 2014. And you can see the band, especially Lemmy at full vitality. For me it´s a explosion of energy in many songs ! OK, the Rockpalast-Recording is perhaps one of the last professional Live-Recordings of the Band, but there you can see Lemmy´s illness very much, arms are very thin and so on. But on this video it´s full energy !

yeah good...but not one of the best drummer in History..he is in the deep time, that's ok but he is classical....!!! The drummers doesn't exist.....ans so he is a Jazz drummer.. ( Lenny White.. by example a very great monster....) or in progresive music like Yes or King Crimson (3 drummers on stage!!!!!)...but i don't like these music., in the hard rock the best drummers now work or worked for Slpknot....it's's there i listen the best part of drumming.... the best drummer doesn't exist....in rock listen Ginger Baker or Keith Moon from the Who by example orMike Shrieve from Santana, Mr Dee ok but no comparison with these monsters....it's another world....and mr Dee is not of this world...!!! The best drummer in hard rock heavy maybe is the drummer of Led Zeppelin....dead in 1980 John Bonham....a panzer divison himself...!!! never copied cause too complex and too powerfull .....but deep in the music time!!!!!
