I knew Lemmy back in the day when he was with Hawkwind and he drank at the Maynard Arms pub in Crouch End London. Always a pint at the bar with a whisky chaser. He had his own spot there, never sat down. Extremely shy, tall and was the perfect gentleman to me ❤️The pub is still there. He used to get me in to the King's Cross all nighter to watch Hawkwind. I think fondly of Lemmy always. ❤❤

Agreed. It's not from the "classic" era but this song, and the 1916 album stand up with anything Motorhead ever released IMO. I read an interview many years ago with Wurzel in RAW magazine and he said he wanted this song played at his funeral. Hope he got his wish.

This was the first motorhead song I ever listened to. When I was about 8 I found some of my uncles old VHS recordings of a British TV show called "power hour" basically top of the pops for metal heads! Still probably my favourite motorhead song now!!! One of the best bands ever!

I crashed a escort rs turbo at 120 mph when I was in my 20s . The car barrel rolled 4 times , l crawled out of the wrecked car with multiple broken bones into a field. A security guard saw the crash and phoned the ambulance. Death didn’t get me that day . And I am still hear today listening to this fucking awesome motor head tune. RIP Lemmy .
