We get so excited when that bell pings and it's like 'Quick, Julia and Gary have released another video' 😂🎉😊😅 We watch with such commitment and feel such a connection to you both and your beautiful Swift, it's sad when it ends. Just to say, one time when we were on our way back to the UK in our Hobby motorhome, we had so many problems, exhaust dropping off, electrics failing and pipes flying off under the bonnet it was horrendous!! Glad you two are sorted and on the move North. Hopefully you won't have any more similar issues, but to get you out of jail you could have run a live wire to the wipermotor socket bypassing the knackered fuse. Happy New Year, excellent rant by the way a right laugh!!!

We live in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and are on our way to Murcia to see friends. We should have swapped motorhomes for our respective trips and saved a lot of driving. On the back of your Vlog took the Newhaven to Dieppe ferry - very pleased with that route. Is anyone left in Germany 🇩🇪 - they all seem to be spending winter in their motorhomes in Spain.🇪🇸. Love the new hair.

Wow what a Ballache indeed but glad you got it sorted. You had me smiling right from your opening. Such a lovely couple. You definitely inspire me to be brave and stop outside those aires. We stopped at a free aire at Chartres, probably about 15 spaces. 5 vans parked together, we parked down the other end as I like my space and someone parked right next door when loads of spaces elsewhere 😂. Why do they do that? Andy has asked me to Ask Gary a question as "he knows his stuff". We changed our gas over and everything bar the fridge would work, it just didn't seem to light. Any ideas? Thank you for being such a great couple to follow ❤

Hi both, Gary said, is the igniter on a small battery? If so it might need changing but he said ours takes a while he has to keep it depressed for at least 20 seconds before it catches, it then goes out but in the next press works, if that makes sense?! I know what you mean about people parking on top of you...like wth is that about 😂😂❤️

@anewlifeinthevan thank you Gary. We did hold it down and eventually seemed to ignite bit the gas light flickered and my ice for my gin melted 🤣. It worked before changing the gas bottle, Andy unsure if it has a battery so will need to investigate that thank you. Are you still in the UK enjoying the weather or home ? Xx

Do ya know if it’s law to carry snow chains or snow socks at this time of year? We’re doing the same drive on 16th Jan from Santander to southern Spain 💕 xx

It's not mandatory in Spain, but if the weather conditions get bad it is compulsory, so it's probably better to have them just in case if you travel between Nov to Mar. They weren't expensive and it's peace of mind. Hope that helps 🥰

Great video as usual. Did you buy your motorhome in the UK? If yes, did you have to pay import duty for it in Spain? Or was it regarded as a personal import and as such you did not have to pay Spanish import tax? To make it legal to drive as Spanish residents, did you have to get the head lights changed to European type etc? Sorry for all the questions, but we will be moving to Spain with the intention of having a motorhome there. We would prefer to buy that in the UK rather than Spain. You both always make myself and my wife Sarah giggle👍

Hi both 👋 thanks for watching and the lovely comment 🤩 Regarding the motorhome, we are doing a change of residence, which brings down the cost, but it's still a couple of grand, going through that now. You need to be a resident to do an itv (Spanish MOT), and you must have owned it for at least 6 months before doing a change of residence. We may do a vlog on this very soon but we need to get out Spanish plates on...you will definitely need European headlights though...

@@HeidiPriest Hi Heidi, yes that's right, you have to be a resident to get it on Spanish plates and take it through it's itv ( Spanish MOT). It had it's itv in Dec and is currently in the process of registering in Spain. We're on it.

We found the issue in the end, Gary explains what happened right at the end of the vlog. It was quite a simple fix after all.
