It’s got that bad this winter/spring that we bought a portable Karcher power washer for our dogs. Just sits in the back of the car ready for washing them off when needed. Works a treat when there’s no river to wash them off.

I recommend you try the pub stopover at The Stonetrough in Kelbrook Lancashire BB18 6XY. Small charge for motorhome overnight stay but an excellent breakfast for 2 included in the price. Perfect for local walks and exploring Pendle.
