What did this cost? I need to get something similar done to my RV, one place I called quoted me almost $1500. That seems pretty step since the glass is fine, just part of the windshield is coming out of the seal.

$1500 is about right for windshield replacement. Mine was cracked and so was replaced paid for through my auto insurance. They ordered the glass from the manufacturer in Ohio, shipped it to one of their local contract installer and he then called me to make the install appointment

@@HerbBaldwin thanks, but my windshield is fine, it doesn't need replaced. All I need is to get it back into the gasket. The quote included $500 for the gasket itself. From what I can tell, which I'm not sure is really needed. Thanks for the response, I plan to get a couple more estimates just to be sure this one isn't out of line.

That depends on your insurance company and what type of insurance you have. Was it as the result of a collision? Or a thrown rock? Or deer 🦌 hit? Also, is it a full windshield or split (half) windshield. Call your insurance agent and ask that question BEFORE submitting a claim

Robert, thanks for watching ... the contact info for the installer is displayed on the screen in the first few seconds of the video. Understand though that he is only an installer, not a supplier of RV glass. He is a contractor who works under a broker who has the contracts with insurance companies. The RV owner puts in a claim with their insurance company, the insurance company orders the glass through this broker, and the broker orders the install from someone on their list of qualified vendors. My glass was supplied by www.customglasssolutions.com/ in Upper Sandusky Ohio (formerly PPG AutoGlass) and if you're not using your insurance company but instead paying cash, you might call them to see if they will sell to you and ship to installer Chris in Casa Grande.
