He seemed like a really nice man. His Coronation Street character will never be forgotten. He was part of their golden years at Corrie, almost always involved with all the huge storylines. His on-screen relationship with Audrey always made me laugh. They were like chalk and cheese! Thanks for creating this - your hard work is much appreciated 👍✨

The strand singers Bess I'm sure I've seen a version of the film where Michael says to the character that Brian plays You're a strongman, but you're overweight and our condition etc ..... And then pushes him off the building. But in all the clips I've seen now you don't hear that. No idea why. Glad you enjoyed the film. Thank you, Alan

There is a couple of other channels in the UK covering famous graves but I personally prefer your channel Alan. It is your relaxed style and your research is much better. Others tend to go on and on a bit too much but your delivery is much better hence why I subscribed. You can take it from someone who knows because I am a former National / International Radio presenter. I'm sure you would have heard of Long Wave Radio ATLANTIC 252 for example! 😉I make my own videos here but not with the intention of making money because KZbin is just a hobby for me. I wouldn't have the time to take it seriously. Anyway another great video and I look forward to more. I wish you continued success with your channel 😊👍
@MotorHomeBeepBeep Жыл бұрын
Hi Greg the one thing I really do enjoy about making the videos is I get to know the subjects by watching a documentary or to and I already usually know them to a reasonable degree. So when it gets the film I really enjoy it and it feels like you're meeting a friend which I know is ridiculous but it feels like that. That's a very kind observation. I'm glad you enjoy. All I'm really doing is talking to my friend which is the audience and when it comes to the comments people like you especially with you in depth comment makes it so enjoyable. I've got plans to carry on next year and I've opened the second channel whilst I'm travelling just to enhance the experience, I do know you're radio station and I understand totally time is limited but as long as you enjoy your KZbin experience, that's all that matters. Thank you for the moment. Much regards, Alan

Very interesting , Alan, back in the day when Coronation Street was top viewing and you would sit watching every episode. Always ended on a cliff hanger. Nowadays I never watch it. The problem is there isn’t many older stronger characters and the ones that remain are on the back burner , giving all the main story lines to the youngsters who can’t hold it as they have no depth of character. This us what I have seen on the odd occasion I have tuned in , and soon tuned out I hasten to add lol. Did you ever do Coronation St as an extra in Manchester? Would have loved to have worked on it in its day. Went past the old Granada studios once on a visit to Manchester but now it’s all moved to Salford Quays. Thanks Alan, brilliant job❤
@MotorHomeBeepBeep Жыл бұрын
Hello John, I totally agree, but unfortunately I think that's part of Britain's society. We don't value older people nowadays and that comes out in the soap opera. So I agree with you. By the nature of them living longer, the older people have much to offer and it's not reflected. We tend to live in a youth society, don't we? We could take a leaf out of the book of other countries who value the older people. The first time I did coronation Street I was stood in the doorway with Emily Nugent which was weird. And yes we did it a few times in Manchester. It's great to see you friend. Very best regards, Alan
@njp Жыл бұрын
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep Absolutely agree there, Alan. I think a lot of Britain’s values have gone down the pan. Yes it’s very strange when you are in a TV studio and you are near or in a queue with someone well known who is very familiar to you , yet you don’t really know them. Happens a lot. Never been to Granada studios , well on the inside , seen the old building from the outside in Manchester, but it’s all gone now to Salford quays. Always great to get a message and pleased my messages are appreciated by you . Thanks ❤️

The "Get Carter" car park was pulled down about 12 years ago, damn thing was falling to bits, there was a lot of places where the concrete had falling off exposing the rusting steel re-bar underneath, probably because Gateshead council doesn't like to spend money. Anyhow, the site is now ugly flats & a new Tesco supermarket, it was nominated for the 2014 Carbuncle Cup. From ITV news 1 September 2014 "Trinity Square in Gateshead, which replaced the now demolished 'Get Carter' car park, has been named among Britain's ugliest buildings. The development was the most nominated structure in this year's Carbuncle Cup, which is sponsored by architecture magazine Building Design. In response, Gateshead Council say "one person's masterpiece is another person's carbuncle."
