Dont ignore the 90s timber. It can all be painted with modern gloss durabile cabinet paint to dramatically modernise it

Agents know with the housing crisis in Australia people will be looking to these as an alternative to a home. So with supply and demand and up go the prices with bit of gouging thrown in for good measure.

Nice episode guys, but I admit I did laugh quite a few times when you say 'They're really old". Our Merc / Winnebago is a 2003 and yes, full of wood grain but so cozy :) Keep up the good work.

Hi i bet your Winnebago is great, although some of the used motorhomes seemed a bit older, they had a lot going for them with the layout and space inside.

Love that you looked at/ compared new to used models. Yes plenty of wood & it doesn’t age well does it? Our 2021 Daintree was traded & they whacked $15k (on top of the traded price) on the lot to allow for supplying usuals (roadworthy, gas cert, electrical cert, warranty, advertising)…

I quiet like the older style Winnebago Longreach you found with all the timber I’ve got my ion one in Melbourne comes with a tow car for extra 2008 not financial enough to buy now on something to live permanently here at Hervey Bay and get out of the Rent racket

Enjoyable videos - also great to see local content. Did you look at the Sunliner Olantas that was at AMHC at the time ? Lower price due to chassis. Normally on Mercedes Chassis which bumps price at least $20K.

Thanks for the message. We don't remember the Olantas, not sure if they had it there the other day. It was good to compare a few different brands. You can tell the difference in quality by looking through a few different ones.

Good luck with the one you have ordered - the Olantas 451 on a Mercedes Benz chassis is close to $200K and about 12 months delivery delay. It’s a very impressive layout and AMHC had it on display but it was on a LDV chassis (about $175K). It was near the Pinto, it was sold but still on display. Maybe it was collected.

Hi, just wondering if you have had any preferred platforms for your MH choice. Rear or front drive? Merc, Fiat, Ford, Reno etc. I'm not sure what all the choices actually are. (I read some poor things about Fiat) Looking forward to see what your thoughts are on the Merc.

I think once you guys start .looking at caravans you will never pump all your money into an RV. We went on the same journey. A lot more room and the ability to un hook and venture with the 4WD.

Towing a van definitely has the benefit of being able to unhook and explore in the car. We really loved the little motorhome and have now purchased the little Suzuki Swift so that we can flat tow that with the new MH. No idea how we will go with all that, but that's all part of the fun.

Who wants to hitch up then unhitch then setup when you can just drive into site 5mins setup no brainer as far as transport goes you can get a ebike i can get anywhere

Be careful buying used check no rust engine bay water gets into engine bay from windscreen between flap 👍

It is taking to long to register, I find it very hard to understand the issue? I have found out that new RV and caravan rules have come in 1st July, where manufacturers have to submit information and specifications ,so that they can get approval to register, they had 2yrs to do this, if this is the issue Jayco has a lot of explaining to do!

Hi, apparently it is a compliance issue, we totally agree it should have all been sorted before the 30 June deadline and now lots of people have their MH's just sitting there, unable to take ownership, due to not being registered. Very frustrating but not much we can do about it unfortunately.

We have to wait another 7 months for our Avida Esperance, our first Motorhome just came out of a full off-road caravan, had its benefits but I think a Motorhome is the way to go
