Well, Xpulse is not just an off roader... I have Xpulse since a year... And there's no issues with bike... Bike's suspension is unbeatable... Mileage is better... Only issues with the Xpulse are Headlights are still a pain in the ass and Engine need upgrade... From which Headlight issue was solved by Maddog Aux lights... Parts availability problem is not at all a problem because they can make it available in 3-4 days... Which is okay... As Xpulses are sold less than other bikes... Then why would they keep everything in the service centre for no reason?

Got some 1500kms on my x pulse (latest one). Key takeaways pretty tall, light but centre of gravity is pretty high (not super easy to handle), seat isn't the most comfortable, acceleration is pretty good, headlight upgrade is good, not the fastest bike, off-roading is so much fun, i look for bad roads to go through basically, can break through speed bumps effortlessly, it's cheap enough for you to use it ruggedly and simple enough to fix things that break easily. For me personally riding is about freedom, take it anywhere and not be too worried that it'll ruin the machine forever. In that sense it's pretty reliable and a beautiful machine. I am loving this purchase and thinking of doing some modifications

For highway like roads it's true..But in hilly terrains and bad roads with lot of humps and undulations we never had to slow on xpule...We can go on in a steady pace...Suspension is unbeatable and nothing is there in that price bracket to compare even in a 3lakh bike..So simple...I was using dominar 2017 model and now happy with xpulse4v..Never felt it too lazy in kerala ghat roads...It's torquey and no need to downshift unnecessary like many other 200cc bikes even though power is less...

Thank you, Anup! With regards to your question, the Tiger is the better off-road bike. It has the better ground clearance, suspension etc to make life off-road much easier. The question you must ask yourself is are you willing to ride a big, heavy bike off-road and is yes, how often will you do so? If you are going to stick mainly to the tarmac the V-Strom 650 is a sweet motorcycle. It can handle mild trails as well so Ladakh will not be much of an issue. Take test rides, extensive ones at that, before deciding.

My xpulse's engine automatically stops sometimes, tried changing the engine oil but the problem continues, however it has reduced after I changed the battery idk what the problem is, the service center guys also dont have any idea. I have 16k kms in the meter. Last month the issue was so severe that I impulsively changed the battery and switched to different engine oil.
@motorinc Жыл бұрын
Sounds more like a fuelling or ignition issue DO. The next time this happens, open the fuel tank cap and then try re-starting the bike. If this helps, then the breather tube is blocked and that's an easy fix

The suspension of the xpulse is everything. You can compare the driving dynamics only with gs310. But the bike has some small issues like jerking at low rpm, if you push throttle slightly high mileage will drop to undee 30 and seriously service centers dont know the work of xpulse and the handel bar I order before 2months and still waiting.

Looking to explore nearby(100km radius) hills and trails. . Explore. Not annihilate Based on my test rides. I would say this. The VStrom is great when you need to reach said hills/forests. Once you do reach. It is a very capable scrambler. Better than street bikes for sure. It won't be as capable as tye xpulse off-road. But competent enough. Much better explorer since it is wayyyyy Better in the city, highway and ghats. So. On a general weekend exploration ride. It is better in 3 out of 4 things. It is more reliable. And more comfortable. Waiting for october to decide my final budget. If I can. For me the VStrom seems the better choice.

I have done 1500kms on my Xpulse 200 4V... The only issue I have been facing is that the engine cuts off automatically whenever I ride the bike after a long stop. You may check your idling RPM, it may be lower than usual. Waiting for 30 secs and giving time for engine oil to circulate properly is a better idea.

Hero Xpulse 200 4v is a great value for money product. I feel for urban and rural areas it's the best , I deal with pot holes on a regular basis trust me Xpulse inspires confidence to tackle them with ease. The only thing I don't like is it's highway capabilities. Extremely unstable when big Vehicles overtakes you and mileage drastically falls at higher speeds.

If service is a problem with any of these superior machines, why bother buying them? 😢 When will this change?
@motorinc Жыл бұрын
Service is a hard problem TBH. The standard of service, processes etc are set by the brand. Which then has to train, sometimes hundreds, of mechanics to work on a model. But these are employees of the dealer/service station in a low-paying job where they move around quite a bit. It's a complicated challenge for the brands to solve.

If my comments helps someone: I have done 2200km on xpulse 200 4v a month ago in just two days. I didn’t even took proper rest. Went on a job, finished it and headed home right after. Just had couple of those 1-2 hour naps in a fuel pump. I found the bike pretty good and it didn’t give me any kind of trouble. I have done 14k km before this ride and 5 services. I have previously done two 800kms trips as well non stop. Except for the top speed issue and I couldn’t cruise over 90kmph coz the mileage is dropping to 30-32kmpl . I was thinking other options as well like r15, gixxer, dominator 250, Himalayan about what if I had one of them instead of this. For most part I would take any other bike for cruising capability. But, twice during this ride and many other times previously, while being on high speeds, I encountered unexpected speed bumps and potholes. I just slowed to whatever I could and went above them. Now thinking, what if I had other bikes, I would surely be thrown off except for Himalayan in the bunch. 😊
