Mind the NCAP rating. It's the Chinese version (C-NCAP). 5 STAR probably means in a crash they can still 'identify you by DNA matching' - safe. It's not the 5 stars like Tesla has.

OH, so you're saying 64km/hr crash in China is not the same as in other countries? That for some reason, cars tend to get more impact force from a crash when out side of China, even though the car is going at the same speed. Crash test of this SUV: baidu.ku6.com/watch/01981721885769489094.html?page=videoMultiNeed Current Chinese-NCAP test standards are: Frontal 100% overlap crash @ 50km/hr, 40% overlap @64km/hr, side impact @ 50km/hr, as well as some other tests. Keep in mind Chinese cars have a better start than Japanese and Korean cars did considering the large amount of automobile parts currently made in China for a great variety of European, Japanese and Korean brands and sent back to their original countries for assembly. It´s just a matter of time, they´ll end up invading markets with prices/quality impossible to compete with.

Can i consider this as copy? and !!!! ask yourself which country invented gunpowder and paper making techniques?

Norman Ran I live in metro Detroit Michigan called car city for a reason. my city makes ford vehicles. I just don't like the fact that Chinese vehicles copy flagship and trademarked vehicles. I highly doubt the Chinese automotive industry will make its way to america. China has a really bad reputation here and will not succeed. maybe in the far future but definitely not soon.

i'm driving Audi A4 first of all, and tell all my friend to buy German cars. When i check the quality of Ford car last month at local Ford deanship, that was terrible terrible experience, go look the how big the gap between the window and door panel on Ford escape 2016, go look your self, and go check how big this gap in CS75, go see it! if you don't like China things, i give you a suggestion, throw out everything you have that have "made in china" on it. do it now, do it, and never buy anything made from China, do this for all your family members. We are selling our chinese car/bus in EU, Russia, and in Australia, come to US and Canada just matter of time, you will see Chinese car driving in your community in soon future, we will success, just like how we are successfully sell merchandise which has "made in china" on it around the world. good luck

+MotoringMiddleEast They don't sell this Brand/SUV in the USA. I think it's interesting that they mention research & development in a lot of countries, but probably don't sell it, but on a few markets outside China. I don't think it would pass NHTSA tests here in America. The shaking you felt in bumps is because of the thin frame/undercarriage obviously. That reminded me of the Chinese company "FAW" that brought cars into our neighboring country down south (Mexico). When I visited I rode on several FAW F5 Taxi's with that same problem, and the driver explained that they only lasted a few years, and were pulled from the market because of poor quality metals being used. That's because the metal would bend/warp so easily. On light accidents they got so mangled(like a soda can). Needless to say... They were cheap, and didn't last much & frame warping from normal driving? I hope that Changan vehicle works out better for people out there in UAE. I do feel that some of the details in that paper you had were nothing more than gimmicks, but as you said... It's cheap, and perhaps appealing to certain people. I'd rather have safety over luxury anyday, but companies do have to start somewhere & move up from there. I'm curious as to what that other Chinese car that you mentioned was... Faw? Great review however.... Thank you.

When you hit something tougher than you, it was you to get hurt, same with cars, so if you have a collision with, say a Volvo, in this Chang An, it will hurt. So, solution, lets forget about European, Japanese or American cars, and make this world full of our Chinese cars so everyone are equally tough, or weak, then we are all safe. Hahaha, well as long as you don't hit a wall or something. To make real good cars, it takes time but we are getting there lol

The Chinese are just getting into the world market with their cars. They have the know how to produce vehicles. It's their quality that needs some work. I think they can improve that and could even be competitive if those chose to be. It's understandable they would take inspiration from other designs. All major automotive manufacturers have borrowed or imitated designs from others. I think the average consumer would benefit greatly from a quality Chinese car that was affordable. Personally, I hope they succeed.

Van Vong They're referring to the chinese penchant for copying, in general. Virtually every car company in china only exists as a clone of a western, or japanese company. Check out the Land Wind. There are copies of Land Rover, Chevrolet, Ford, and a few others. There's a reason why they're known as copiers. There isn't a car company in China that doesn't make an exact copy of a western car. And the ones that **do** have original designs only hold about 1% of the market.

I really couldn't see any relationship between this SUV and Santa Fe. Not at all. But I agree with you that Chinese car could do better, and they are improving.

Don't give a fuck if its Chinese, as long as it performs the same as a Toyota SUV and could save me ten grand.

I see lots of KIA but that upside down Acura logo though. Literally. Also the interior is very Acura and Infiniti.

Martyn Rosenburg Definitely taking some design cues from Acura for the interior.
