I cannot say how generous is it from you that you give us all these building guides for free. You come up with all these wonderful contraptions and share it around the community. Whereas other channels (such as brickvault..) charge horrendous prices for all their building instructions which they usually didn't even come up with.
@NirateGoel6 жыл бұрын
Yes, well they need to pay off their designers somehow/bribe them, and keep a tidy profit to spend a few hundred on a bloody comic con figure. Though to be fair I've seen similar outrages prices on other websites, unconnected with youtube.

That’s such a great idea and design! Think those compromises are justified and wouldn’t have noticed till you pointed out. Could you treat the rollercoaster cars like Bogies and build the train articulated on top? Although I guess with the slopes you’d need a lot of articulation that would take up a lot of space. Now I need to got and buy all the roller coaster track I can find!

I'm actually not sure this would be cheaper!? I mean, the grey tracks aren't in that many sets yet, are they? :-)
@BlockHeadUK6 жыл бұрын
Brick Bakery actually you can get them all from Shop @ Home Bricks & Pieces I believe - a LUG-mate did the maths and it works out loads cheaper to buy them piecemeal. The straights and curves have been out a while in grey in some Power Miners sets, I believe. And the up/down ramps now come in grey thanks to the Pirate rollercoaster. I think the 45deg slope only comes in red in the big coaster set.

A very nice little project! When you really want to incorporate those crazy inclines, car length is by all means rigidly restricted - and you have got the right proportions there. When the project is meant to look more realistic, then length is no longer a concern - there is no such incline in the real world out there that we could actually find. Simple, albeit clever, system of making the wheels turn. I do suppose, though, there is a lot of friction at work between the bottom of the engine and the rail. And I, for one, do not see how that can be improved. But, maybe, the speed can still be increased? By using a different motor and/or gear system/ratio? Perhaps, in a larger engine - so that everything can be hidden? One and a half years later, does this still exist? On a layout, somewhere?
