Motorizing the Lego compatible bigboy locomotive

I've been trying to figure out how to motorize this myself while building it. As for the cow catcher, the instructions tell you to have it sticking down between the tracks, but that will cause issues. Raise those parts up to be level with the others. The motors spinning opposite directions can be fixed by using a power functions reverser switch on either the forward facing motors or the rearward facing motors. That way a single axle can be used between 2 motors. Would you be able to show how specifically you got the vertical axles in place? The technic beams the make up the frame are blocking the path if you build it per the instructions.

The front carriage I flipped 2 technic pieces of the engine lower frame to get everything to fit. The rear was perfect. The vertical shaft was actually pretty easy you insert the driveshaft rod through the rotating piece into a gear and it’s removable. You ll have to re organize the gears though. The top gear to motor mesh height is what I had to play with for awhile to get it to work. Showed the main fix in this video that crossbrace to support the shaft just under the motors was critical otherwise the gear jumps away from itself. While you’re in the process of building it definitely needs more battery I only get a few minutes run time and I’m hoping when I add more capacity it help’s with my starting torque

Hi, I have bought this train Last week and IT cant move in curves, so If you can send me some short Videos or a list of parts I need to buy to get this train motorised and in curves, than you Help a lot, otherwise I will send Back The train because only as an Decoration IT isnt usefull For me, thanks a lot

Hi, ist this The onliest Video you have. I am in Germany and I have bought The Jie Star Big Boy but it doesnt go in The curves of The lego system and The secound The model isnt motorised. Can you make a Video of only to motorised your model? Thanks man. Sierk

I’m not happy how it runs so I’m trying to get it right before I make another video. 4 M motors isn’t working well. I had to delete the front carriage and remove wheels from the coal car
