Fabulous in-depth review! I am an 80 year-old ex-IITan, planning a relocation to Gurgaon from USA in November-December time frame. I've done my research as to which car to buy: MG Windsor's mid-variant along with the BaaS subscription. Why the mid-variant? Well, I plan to employ a full-time chauffeur to drive us around Gurgaon & Delhi @ 38*2 km/day in total rear-seat comfort while we are totally immersed in watching KZbin videos independently on two head-rest mounted 10" HD tablets. So, the top-variant features that are NOT IMPORTANT for us would be: 1) Panoramic moonroof, 2) the 9-speaker audio system (instal a spare wheel in lieu of the massive subwoofer), and 3) ventilated front seats. Why go for the BaaS? We won't have to pay Bajaj FinServ for any milage over 1,500 km/month and the chauffeur will get the EV recharged for FREE every time at MG-affiliated public stations. And the BEST part is this: for a small depreciation charge, I'd be able to swap my Windsor for the latest release model EVERY YEAR! Thank you JSW-MG!! 🙂

Completed my Sr. Cambridge exams from St. Xaviers Hazaribagh in 1960 an entered IIT KGP at age 16 in 1961, stayed at RK Hall of Residence, and graduated in 1966 with BTech (Honors) in Electrical Engineering. So, to answer your question "How do you know someone is from IIT?" : I was considered to be a "Guy" by my peers since I had attended an all-boys boarding school run by Jesuits from Australia, while my lesser-fortunate classmates who had attended vernacular schools were called "Goonks"... and never the twain did meet. :-)

I test drove the Windsor and was surprised by its size-I initially thought it was smaller. The car is decent, and the lifetime battery warranty was a major selling point, addressing one of the common concerns with EVs. I still need to check on the warranty for the electrical components, though. One thing I find a bit concerning is that everything is controlled via the screen. I’ve paid the booking amount but want to explore other variants too. I’d prefer a top-end model without a moonroof, especially with extreme summers and I have heard with MG Zs Ev it takes time for it to cool , and I think a rear wiper was essential. But regardless for the price and the warranty for the battery it’s a good bet.

Nice and informative video. In future when MG comes out with a bigger battery(which should have been introduced with 50 kw setup), they should ensure that it fits in this cars as well, then they can have the sales graph simply soaring.

Requesting you to do a video on dealer/sales team issues of MG Motors Kerala and Windsor customers. Due to the heavy demand for Windsor, the sales team is behaving like a mafia. From their viewpoint, Windsor doesn't give any margin. So, the car is being delivered to those who are willing to pay for compulsory company insurance, accessories, VAS (the sales executives don't even know what service they are providing for this), and ceramic coating, etc. Please investigate these issues and put MG Motors in the limelight so that dealers will get a good margin rather than cutting the throats of common people.

90/100: 👌 Good product, albeit with Three FLAWS: Good looks, reasonably priced, spacious & taller. It ticks 90% of all expectations of Indians. Problems/disadvantages: 1st problem is the smaller battery pack which can generate only a 230 - 250 km run. A larger battery pack (high range) is ESSENTIALLY required to CATER long journey commuters. MG must RETHINK soon. Absence of provision of a long range battery will not be good for a family MPV sales. Choice is restricted. 2nd is No provision of spare wheel. 3rd - Colour Discrimination - All variants should be available in all colours. If you do this, customers will shift to other makers. When Tata Sierra 2025 & KIA Siros get launched on 2025, it could be retirement time for MG Windsor unless and otherwise they come up with a long-range battery. Let's see. The sooner MG provides a larger battery pack....the good for MG. Otherwise, it would be approaching the "retirement" stage, i.e - Competition will eat up. 😄 Happy motoring ....

thanks for the video quite different from existing ones as u have covered the menu options, keep up the good work. in my opinion function in infotainment should not be a deal breaker as they might be allowing thru voice commands as well, nevertheless i can still do that one time setting, and use * button customisation

If i use the car for 4 years and then sell it, the second owner will get 4 years warrany. If you miss a payment for battery for one month, it will affect CIBIL score. BaaS is a marketing gimmick
