Actually subwoofer term is used when woofer is not the main unit, in soundbar home theatre system, the sound bar is considered as main unit, Subwoofer unit and Satellite speakers are peripherals / supporting unit for the soundbar.

For sound quality, s660 is better but Dolby audio has issue. Motorola 500 plays Dolby audio very well. Choose s660 If you are not concerned about Dolby. If you need to watch Dolby content most of the time, then motorola 500 is better
