In a competitive market like India, having a price tag of 50k (with launch offer) for a company like 'Motorola' is big 'NO'. Motorola should keep the price under 40k (with launch offer) for their Moto Edge 50 Ultra, otherwise it will fail to have indian consumers' attention as Motorola is more like a 'online brand'. Motorola still hasn't become a 'BRAND' in indian smartphone market to charge 50k (with offer) for a smartphone from indian 'tech aware' comsumers in the crowd of experienced BRANDs like Apple, Samsung, OnePlus & Vivo. If they plan to do that with Moto Edge 50 Ultra, they will fail miserably.

Price is not worth, it should be maximum 45k , with exact specifications with Leica cameras we are getting Mi 14 civi at 40K. At that price range we get Oneplus 12 or Iqoo 12 which has 8 gen 3, better cameras, 2k display and 1000mah more battery and better optimized software (*like oneplus and iqoo provides optimised software in flagships). This time Moto disappointed me :(

With regard to your photos, which Colour Mode did you use? I am in the UK, and have had an Edge 50 Ultra for several weeks, I don't know why the version released in India should be different, but the version released in the UK does have eSim support. There is only one variant released in the UK viz 16GB RAM with 1 TB storage priced at £849.99.

I see a lot of people comparing it with the MI 14 civi , guys xiaomi phones have a lot of power but are not properly optimized , after few years you will see the day to day performance drop significantly , however , after using a moto phone , I get the distinct impression that they have optimized it fairly nicely. The pricing doesn't make any sense. At this price, which is almost double of the Moto Edge 50 Pro, what additional features is it bringing? The processor seems to be the only primary difference. That too is not a flagship on Edge 50 Ultra.

The difference is the CPU, main camera sensor is larger, more storage and ram, Telephoto is now 6 times instead of 3 Times. An in sensor crop to 6 times results in an 16MP sensor the same size as the pro has at 3 times, being 1/4. The storage type being 4.0 instead of 2.2. , gorilla glass victus instead of an most probably gorilla glass 3.

@@fa14bi-78 I just compare the two side by side on GSM Arena. The optical zoom on both phone's telephoto lens is 3x. You're right about the bigger sensor but the Edge 50 Pro has a slightly larger aperture on the main camera, so it can let in more light. The Edge 50 Pro has ufs 2.2 storage but it has been optimised well and performs at par with phones with UFS 3.0 phones. My concern is that this one is not a flagship but costs as much as last year's flagship phones and this year's flagship killer phones. The S23 was available recently at 45k and the Pixel 8 at 50k. The IQOO 12 is available at 52k.

If Omni vision or Sony made it doesn't make much a difference. It can make a difference in how fast they focus, but you on a smaller sensor you will have less particles hitting the sensor.

Iqoo 12 is available for 53k and with offers at 47k. It has SD8G3, much better cameras, way better battery life and timely updates. The only thing Moto has is clean UI in comparison. Not buying this shit when a Xiaomi 14 Civi is available with same processor and better AI features & Cameras at 39,999. Even Samsung S23 is way better choice as it frequently drops to 44999. Spoiler alert, the Realme GT 6 is launching soon and so is Realme 13 Pro Plus. Absolutely rubbish phone by Moto due to its price.

Well, the scales tip in favour of the 14 Civi. Sure it doesn't have a telephoto lens, but the rest of the camera specs are very solid. Also, Civi only as IP64 vs IP68 on Edge 50 Ultra. But as per most people (including myself), paying 10-12K extra just for a few quality of life advantages is definitely not worth it... Also, those wanting the 8s Gen 3 at a lower price can look at the Poco F6...

I have bought a Brand new model of Motorola EDGE 50 Ultra in 10/10/2024. Everything was fine but After 21 days of uses, problem started with lock screen. The lock screen locks itself after 10 seconds of inactivity and then screen frizzes, unresponsive. I can see incoming call icon but can't answer it, touch screen unresponsive! I have to restart phone by pressing physical power button, screen unlocked and phone runs smoothly but when after 10 seconds screen lock activated screen goes off and again frizzes, i can see running videos, incoming calls but screen unresponsive. I've never dropped the new phone once. Now the phone became unusable. i have visited local repair shop, they have factory resetted my phone, unlock boot loader and install downgraded Kernel version but no luck, problem exists.

I'm using a Motorola edge 30 ultra. It was running smoothly without any issues till the warranty was there. As soon as the warranty was over, it started showing a green line on the screen. I didn't do anything, the phone was resting on the table and when I picked it up, a green line gradually started appearing on the left of the screen. Within a few days another green line appeared. I'm sure that this is a software issue and not the hardware one. I took the phone to the service centre, but they are asking 13K for the screen replacement. Very bad experience with Motorola. Never buy a Motorola phone please.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is much better than the disappointing and boring Oneplus 12 which I bought in February. I should sell it now and go for 50 Ultra by paying a little bit extra. It costs 990€ (Euros) here in EU and is available in that stunning Nordic wood finish ,which is the best possible) and in EU there's just this one option: 16gb/1 Terabyte.
