Just got one from very it came today, £169 but 10% code means only paid £155. Awesome phone. 33W brick and a TPU case. Amazing value

Bought a dark blue G84 last week, as an upgrade from my G30. It's a significant improvement over the G30 in almost every way. Only cost me £169 off Amazon. Happy me.

Really good review my friend. I am thinking of buying this phone very soon. I am looking for phone with a sd cards slot, headphone jack, NFC and 5G. Do you think i should wait for older mid to top range phones to come down in price or are there any other phones with all of these features for under £300 to rival the G84 ?

G85 coming out soon, might want to wait for that. Unless your heart is set on the g84. I actually want to pick up the marshmallow blue one as a back up/secondary just in case my Razr 40 breaks or something.

You seem to have glossed over the part about how it didn't actually work as a phone.... What was that about? Having no sound for incoming phone calls. Call me old school, but I like my phone to actually be a phone, and I think you need to address why this happened in a bit more detail please.

Hi, apologies I should have addressed that more, I believe at the time it may have been an issue with my network provider, I live in a more rural area with not the best connection. Using the phone afterwards and there was no problem so I ruled it to be my signal. Of course we use the phones as actual phones so that is integral to its functionality. Will keep that in mind moving forward and address in more detail 👍

Good review! I have this exact same phone in this exact same colour so I can confirm that it's a really great phone for the price. I notice your phone is plastic around the side and around the cameras. Mine's red metal. Or at least a metallic finish over whatever it's made of!

It's just plastic with a nice finish, nothing wrong with plastic, light, durable and aesthetically pleasing.

Hi Awais, that is a good question, to be honest there are quite a lot of good phones in that price range, currently the best in that range would probably be the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G (Galaxy A55 will be releasing soon though), OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G (Redmi Note 13 Pro will be releasing soon as well), HONOR Magic 5 Lite, Motorola Edge 40 Neo, those are just a few on that price bracket but ultimately it comes down to what you are looking for, some are better performance wise, some have better cameras. You just have to weigh up the options and see what will be best for you 👍

This is about the same price as Samsung A34 where I live, how do they compare? Should I go for the A34? I kind of like the form factor and lighter weight of the Moto, the A34 seems bulky and heavy.

Hi, I’ve not had hand on experience with the Galaxy A34 unfortunately but having a look at the specs it looks like the Moto G84 is quite slimmer and lighter than the A34. For me the Moto G84 felt good in the hand, not too wieldy and the faux leather material was really good feeling too

My wife has the Samsung A34 and she says that my Motorola g84 is much better

The Samsung A54 would be a better comparison. I opted for G84 because I wanted a headphone jack & a phone that didn't feel as if I were holding a bar of soap. My last glass backed Samsung was dropped several times & shattered last week.
