Challenges in life and failures are two of the things that should be embraced. Theres no growth without drive and no success without failures.....you have to take chances....calculated as best as one can and there is not a whole lot you can learn without overcoming or even just meeting up to challenges, but yep, when you hit a wall, sometimes you hit it hard. Its up to the person to get up and shake it off and try to climb over it or walk away never knowing.

Going out on a limb here, but I think it was around 2001. I used to know. The XTS5000 will be discontinued by Motorola and the 2500 will follow, but support goes for 5 years. The good thing is there is a large supply of parts and techs who know these radios inside and out. They will be in service long past that five years. 7 grand for an APX is hard for agencies to pony up the cash for.

Yeah, but the thing is, I've watched every video you've made and I think we both have some work to do in the "video production" area, haha. I'm thinking dancing girls might help. At this point, anything would be an improvement on my videos ;) I'm glad people like them, but jeez, I've yet to sit through one all the way through after I put in annotations. I only go back to suffer through them if I forget how I did something. I need to edit these down but just don't have the time.

I've seen those. They look European. There is a lot of programming software from different manufacturers that are nightmares to get up and running. Its like the developmental teams just wanted to see how pissed they could make their customers. These really aren't bad at all once you work with it a while ;)

I plan on re-shooting this video soon. It is a horrible video and I tell folks nothing of substance about the features in these radios. I'd pull it, but its up. I'm not going to remove it, but as a viewer, I'm going to thumb this video down myself, lol. Hmmm.....somehow I thought doing that would leave me somewhat satisfied, yet I'm not really. Ah well. Better video to come on these soon.

hey, can you tell me if the xpr 6550 does the chirp/burst on digital, like when you press the ptt button, on the other radios you would here a burst/chirp? someone is telling me they dont do that on digital anymore
