Will the Razr 50 camera finally compete with the flagships this time? The new Dimensity 7300X chip rumors have me curious.

The 50MP primary camera with OIS on the Motorola Razr 50 would be perfect for capturing high-quality photos and videos. Anyone has any idea is it really launching with Dimensity 7300X ?

The Razr 50's 3.6-inch screen, combined with the Dimensity 7300X's smooth performance, makes checking notifications and messages a breeze.

In Australia the Razr Ultra is a whopping $1700!! :( It would be so nice if it was only $785 over here too.

For me personally it's the Motorola software and security update guarantee that is unacceptable. By comparison Samsung has a 7 year update guarantee on it devices. Spend almost $1000 on a phone but approximately 3 to 4 years with Motorola one is out in the cold. One+ is not much better from what I have read.

My RAZR 40 recently got Android 14. It's great. Most people dont keep their phones longer than a few years anyway. Now that AI is here, most people I know are upgrading sooner than they though they would. Exciting times!! :)

@@rick_terscale1111 S10 user here. I'm not gonna argue that the 7-yr updates from Apple and Samsung aren't better - they are - but I think it's a marketing tactic. You gotta keep it in perspective - in reality, a lot can happen in 4 yrs, never mind 7. Your battery will likely need replacing, screen will be scratched if not broken, and even if absolutely nothing was wrong with the phone, technology generally gets pretty "long in the tooth" after 4 yrs - so many advancements come out that you'd be at a disadvantage not changing your phone after 4 - 5 yrs. Couple that with the fact that you can still live a perfectly functional phone life with a 2 yr old OS (I'm on Android 12!) and you just kinda realize, "you'll be ok". Just look at the phones today and compare that to what my 5-yr old S10 doesn't have - 5G, LTPO screens, optically stabilized lenses, folding screens, gen AI, etc. You're gonna want a new phone after 4 yrs. You should be more concerned about the durability of that folding screen more than anything.

I've had the Razr 40 since Cyber Monday sales 2023. No issues whatsoever. No issues with the display, the protector, the hinge etc etc. And recently updated to Android 14 and works really well, especially with new features.
