thay are all the same there range is two miles tops or less in town privecy code means when you set it no one out side your group can talk too you BUT thay can lission only

It depends on the country. Many countries limit such radios to .5 watt transmit. There will not be many that will give over 2 watts without a licence on that band. Next move would be HAM radio.

It's 2W on the allowed FRS channels, just like every other modern FRS/GMRS radio.
