Motorola have been making very good hardware these days. Hoping they at the minimum begin offering three years OS and security updates. If they changed their update policy they could become a serious competitor honestly.

Motorola seems better, with even more features like USB 3.2 and using it as a PC with desktop mode. Motorola even has all the network bands I can use in my home contry and even OP11, Iqoo11 and Redmi K60 missing 1 or even more bands.. EDIT: Get well soon Han, I have a broken wrist right now as well, so I know the feeling :)

Great review. Pleasantly surprised by the Motorola x40. I'd prefer that between these two. The k60 pro just feels and looks a bit too cheap for my liking in this segment. Cameras are my priority and I view all phones with 8mp ultrawides and 2mp macros as single camera phones. It's a good option though for those that want a good flat screen phone with flagship chipset. In my opinion though it's probably worth spending the extra for the Iqoo 11 if budget isn't a priority. The x40 is a very good allrounder. It's also a nice weight and feels more like a flagship. Cameras look decent too and improved from last year's Motorola x30. I liked your comment at the end where you summarized which recent flagship phone is suitable for who. It is very useful

Given how good the phone is, this phone is an ideal candidate to get good custom rom development. If you're interested in that area skip the iqoo 11.

Nubia has trash os, just get the moto x40 if you don't really care about being a "gamer", that phone has a fan is all and even that doesn't help much. Obviously no ip68, poor cameras.

Nice review. Moto X40 as everything that's expected from a almost flagship, probably for many people it's a flagship and for me it offers everything. I don't see ltpo screen's doing a thing in terms of battery improvement, neither bigger batteries. When I see this reviews it's clear that a almost stock software a better optimisation does better for screen on time that the rest. It as a aluminum frame, ip68 and wireless charging, a pretty decent sensors in the back and front, better selfies than Xiaomi and 4k video, also you can shoot pretty decent fotos with the ultra wide and dedicated portrait sensor or zoom. It's also clear that Xiaomi steels missing in the thermals optimisation and the QHD screen isn't enough if you want a decent outdoors brightness ( on others reviews moto X40 can achieve 1000nits outdoor) and, good calibration, specsheet's don't tell you the true experience. Hoping for the global, it's expected to came in 850€ and a single variant with 12/256, but normally Motorola as a discount in the first 2 weeks or month of 200€. It happened last year with moto edge 30 ultra. It's one of my possible choices for this new year, hoping that Motorola delivers faster security patches and software updates, actually policy of 3 major OS and 4 years of security it's on par with others manufactures just the wait time isn't ideal Keep up the good work, and curios for the next review. 👍
