Hi, just saw your review. I have just ordered a KODIAQ 2.0 TSi Edition 5 Seater DSG 4X4 on Business Contract Hire/Leasing. The only car that comes close to it in all honesty is a VW Tiguan SEL. The difficulty I had is that there are very few manufactures that offer a Petrol Automatic 4X4. I also live in the US and have driven the all NEW Honda CRV which has been out there for at least 8 months and is not due here until fourth QTR 2018!!!!!. My only gripes are in terms of Spec which I think for a top of the range model is rather poor and Warranty could be better. Front Parking Sensors, Rear View Camera, Adaptive Cruise Control and Panoramic Sunroof are Extras they should be standard on a car like this, OK perhaps the sunroof could be a chargeable extra, Also connected services after year one I am told is horrendously expensive. Be keen to see the NEW KIA Sorento just announced and a NEW Hyundai Sante Fe is on the horizon, again NOT in petrol....yawn! The New KAROQ looks great but seems pricey and again not available as a petrol 4X4 Automatic.

Hi. We are finding so many manufacturers now issue one price with the basic level spec and even when a car has a higher spec as standard there are so many chargeable extras. I guess then they can boast a 'start from' low price; but then persuade you to add so many 'extras' on top. We do agree with you though. It is ridiculous!! We will be reviewing the Karoq when it comes and the new Santa Fe....I'm sure we will get on to the Kia too.

Nice comprehensive review. too bad i already got the Tiguan RLine. One difference is Tiguan has panoramic as standard on RLine models. Kodiaq should have one.

Yes, not sure why it doesn't most of their other range does. I do like the panoramic roof

It does, just not added to your test car. I have been sitting in a kodiaq with the panoramic sunroof. :)

Yes, an optional extra but not as standard as Mike Junior pointed out which surprised me considering the other standard features it has.
